My maternity leave is due to end at the end of March and i really dont want to go back to work as i cant bear to be away from my newborn. My partner earns £15000 a year and i was wondering what help if any we would be entitled to?

You will get a small amount of working tax credit and maximum child tax credit.
You might also be entitled to housing benefit and council tax benefit.
Try entitledto.com or the HMRC website and input your details as if you were not working and it should give you an idea of what you would get.

Not if you hand in your notice at the previous one usually - you can't claim JSA if you've made yourself unemployed or certainly didn't used to be able to. This may be different if you were looking for part time work and had been turned down for part time hours in your previous job.
