November due date?

Eventful day for me. In work and had what I bought was a migraine but it has recurred from yesterday so went to get checked out as I was having visual symptoms. It was noted on the CTG that I was having Braxton hicks but mild but as I sat there they increased to a point that I could feel them quite intensely. I started having 4 every 10 minutes which ended in a speculum and no active dilation. But they are suspicious - as this went on for 10 hrs in the end.

Due to the trace I've been given steroids and I'm at home waiting to see what's going on. Lost some of my mucous plug. BH have calmed since i have slept but pain is now in back and left sided (same as daughter). Have been having a bit of a clear out for a few days which I didn't think anything of til now but the migraines were a feature 2 days before I had my DD.

Don't want prem labour 34+2 today. Nervous and obv now on mat leave I guess. Watching and waiting. Due for second shot of steroids this evening and routine midwife appt at lunchtime today.

Anyone else due around Thanksgiving time? I'm due on the 16th and REALLY hope we aren't spending the holiday in the hospital.

Our due date is Thanksgiving! Though, she's been measuring for the 17th in the last few ultrasounds. I suspect she'll come wherever she wants to though lol

Hopeful rest up so that bun can cook a while longer!

ninja how exciting when will that be?

This 3rd trip exhaustion is nothing to play with!!

Period type pain and a definite contraction at half eleven this morning. Took paracetamol and no more contractions but still period pain. Midwife isn't too excited but she never seems to be. Will check in with hospital when I get my steroids later

Another convincing contraction. I don't think this is going to quieten down. DD and hubby napping. I'm too wired to. Bags are packed already and bag for DD prepared as I had a 4 HR labour back to back last time. Contractions went from 20 mins to 30s apart in a matter of 30 mins and lasted like that until I went to theatre.

Hopeful it's late enough that your little one should be okay if he or she comes! your ticker must be off a week you said your at 34 and 2 days so that's better than 33 like your ticker says!

Hopeful my friend had a baby back in June at 34 weeks and the little darling only spent one night in the baby care unit. She was tiny but perfect. Good luck and hope all goes ok!

Isn't that the truth! They certainly have their own timelines :haha:

I have had a boxer going all day today and she was wild last night also she wants out! hahaha. ds is finally in bed thank goodness I'm wiped out

Second set of steroids last night. Monitoring showed a few more tightenings but nothing that was persistent like before. Have to go and rest now and hope it doesn't start. A bit more mucous plug down yest but no blood or waters. Another day cooking which I'm more than happy about!!!!!!

On the plus side - have everything packed for myself, daughter and have organised things for the next 5 days. And with the steroids on board I'm eyeing up everything to clean in the house but trying to resist

I'm totally into cleaning nesting mode over a month now ahhh I get the urge but yes relax!

I'm so excited obgyn tomorrow not for the strep b but excited to hopefully get a cervix check but I wouldn't be surprised if they want to wait until 36 weeks to start doing that which would be next tuesday.

Our first child was born on Thanksgiving Day ;) Family brought us food to the hospital :D

Thanks almost - the hardest thing about the second pregnancy is my guilt regarding my daughter. We had her with us until midnight as I have absolutely no childcare this week due to my whole family going away. Ive been really emotional about her over the past few weeks. Realisation of life changing massively for her and us and she's so excepting of things but I don't want her to be unhappy. She loved being in the hospital however and was incredibly well behaved but we're all exhausted today.

Got emotional packing bags yest - which is probably hormonal.

Had doctor appointment on Tuesday and NP asked if I've had any BH contractions, which I said no, I don't think so. Since Tuesday evening, I've been having them like crazy! At least I think they're BH *lol* There's just so many of them! >.<

And we're moving this weekend. Surprise surprise, nothing is packed (which is what happened the last three times we've moved) but it's Uhaul days and time to move the big furniture. I'm not doing any lifting, but I'm so stressed out. I hate moving so much and so close to baby coming, I'm huge and the stress is worse. Nothing is ever packed (partly because DH never packs anything) and then I end up not knowing where anything is, only some things get unpacked/half unpacked, and the problem continues to compound itself with each move. :(

Aww, my DH was a Thanksgiving baby too. His mom was excited because she got out of baking the rolls, haha! Home cooked Thanksving food sounds lovely!

I'm grateful that we are close (location wise) to family for this birth. Just in case we are in the hospital over the holiday, they'll be able to visit and bring our 4 year old to visit as well.

Hopeful I just started getting similar feelings to you about two nights ago looking up ideas to help ds with the new baby arriving I also cried the two nights ago over it. I found some great tips online about leaving family photos with your child to look at while they can't be with you during labor at the hospital and the birth and all. also to have a photo at the hospital of your child so they know you think about them when they arent there. one site said nltovation make sure you aren't holding baby which surprised me it said to have room right for your child to sit with you if possible. we have been just starting to tell ds how he will sleep over grammy and grampy especially for a slight or two and we will call him first to tell him when his sister comes and he can come right up and visit! we are trying our best to comfort him his bedtime has become rough he just wants to stay up with us or in our bed with blanky and stuffed animals so he's definitely getting worried about change for sure hopefully our little ones will be okay and love being a big siblings! :)
