O/T- a question about painting

I broke down yesterday and purchased my first piece of furniture for my LO. I was running out of room to store his items that his daddy keeps buying for him. It's an antique dresser that someone painted a horrible poop color. It's a beautiful piece but needs to be sanded down and painted. Can I do these things by myself if I wear some type of face mask to avoid the fumes? It's hard to find others who want to do things like this. DH is deployed, so he can't help.

u shud be fine hun! Just get a surgical-type mask and make sure u do it in a well ventilated area. Take it easy too! If ur going to varnish it i'd get someone else to do it though. The paint fumes shudnt be a problem but just be wary of varnish! X
