hopeful and leikela, your lo's are lovely
leikela, does ur baby have jaundice? that can make them hard to wake.
Thanks lindblum! My baby did have jaundice but has since cleared up. She hasn't had another episode like that, thank God! I think she wasn't feeling well at the time.
Leikela- hmm, well did you try to wake babe during the deep sleep stage? It's normal for them not to rouse during that deep sleep. During the first two sleep stages you should be able to wake but the other two not so much. But the good news is they don't spend long in those sleep stages.

Hope that helps, my dd has moments where she is non responsive. Just make sure they are a good temp, colour and breathing regular.
Hi Hopeful! It probably was the very deep stage, now that I think about it. I read the website. I actually read the whole website! LOL Thanks so much for posting it!
On another topic, from reading the website, I now realize that she cannot fall asleep on her own. She needs to be cuddled on my chest or my husband's chest, rocked, or sucking to fall asleep. Otherwise she just cries and won't sleep in her co-sleeper. So we have learned to lull her to sleep and when she is in deep, to put her in the co-sleeper and she will sleep. Thanks again for the great website!
