ive got to go college tonight for a assesment to see im im suitable for the course, i wonder what their face will be like when they ask how much longer ive got to go

Congratulations bladesgirl!

Hi all, am now 40+5. Was feeling ok, but starting to get uncomfortable now. Saw friend today, and she reckons I've dropped since Fri. And hubby came home tonight and said it looked lower! So hopefully we're getting closer. Seeing mw on wed, and last time I saw her she said she'd offer me sweep!

Still no more babies??? How is everyone doing? I enjoying motherhood kinda!! He had a great first 2 nights and days then today and tonight I thinking he is seeing how much he can push us until we cry lol! He will not go down in his Moses basket! I think it's cos he has been in people's arms all day as we have had hundreds of visitors!! Plus I have been trying to get to grips with feeding him but its constant and I'm not sure he is even getting any thing any more! I expressed some and cup fed it him just to give him to keep quiet but now will not go down and I think me and OH are gonna lose it lol

Any one know how to get him to sleep

I have my baby! No name yet but little girl born happy and healthy after a long, tiring and very hard labour 12/03/13 @ 4.28am!

I'll post birth story when I'm back in the land of the living.

Blade - our first little one liked to b carried upright rather than horizontal, and then we used to hav to walk up and down the stairs, think it was the bouncing that helped. Put hot water bottle in Moses basket to warm it up before u put him in! And def c a bf specialist about the feeding!

Nothing happening here. Quite jealous, friend at work's wife had their baby Sunday - week early, and I'm still sat here! Oh , almost week overdue! Oh well, am sure it won't b long! Mw appt tmrw - hopefully I'll get a sweep, to help things along!

i had my 2nd sweep today, and im still cone shaped she (again) managed a tiny sweep but nothing worth getting excited about. i have to ring up 9am sunday morning to see if they have a bed for me to get induced :'( Took LO with me today i came out from behind the screen after my sweep and he looked at me looked at the midwife and said 'so wheres joseph then'
Rang OH to tell him about being induced sunday and his reply... 'so can i go work on sunday then, it will only be until mid day' i could clout him sometimes

im pretty sure at least one of yous will relate... all the midwifes managed to do with that sweep in make my foof give of more snot than my nose which its been doing for the last 5 days anyway

Aww mizzy that's rubbish hope he is here soon and before Sunday!! Parent life is getting better now I'm getting my head round it all!! Baby lost a bit to much weight but he's got a set feeding plan now so hopefully he will start gaining! I might have to call go or midwife tommorrow as one of my stiches is really hurting

I'm now waiting for my mw to arrive. Am hoping she can giv me sweep today, and that it has some effect! But we've got the builders coming back tmrw for a couple of days, so will b just my luck I'll hav to labour with them hanging around!

have you tried a salt bath blades girl? might help you
i hope the sweep works for you katy! seems to be a thing about builders being around when people are over due someone else (seraphina maybe??) had builders in whilst in labour.

I would have a bath but my OH took it out along with the whole bathroom about 4 weeks ago in the idea he was putting a nice new bathroom in for baby!! Then he got loads of work and we don't have a bathroom right now just a shower room lol!!

typical workman!!, i feel for you i really do!!! well a salt bath is out the window then. maybe a wash in salt water.
Still no baby lots of plug but no other signs at all, i think im going to resign myself to being induced and anything else is a bonus.

I'm overdue now too. However came down with what I thought was a cold last monday/ tuesday and turned out to be flu. Still really ill

Guess I am now officially over due as well. Trying to keep busy and not think about it but knowing me and the OH were both induced at 10 days over I was guessing that genetics were not in our favour! Have been making thank you cards and setting up my own etsy to keep busy

Have been losing my plug for 4-5 days now but no blood just gunk. Cramping on and off but nothing past mild period pains...
