To be honest, I gave up on our friendship four months ago when I told her that I did not want to be around people who could not be sensitive and tactful around the time I might, just, be told that I might never get pregnant; who will understand that my mind is elsewhere and maybe watching a stupid fucking DVD is not my priority. I guess she just didn't get that at the time. Freak.

sorry that your "friend" is being like this. I'm a Christian and there is no way i would say things like that to someone. i dont know why things happen - ive asked myself that loads of times. Im not sure that she is really a christian - for one she seems really hung up on that dvd - about gay men!!

Okay I have the following issues:

A. Free will has nothing to do with any of the things she connected it to. That's just idiotic.

B. If this woman really is a Christian and truly believes in God I'm a small, high jumping, green frog.

C. You should give Supernatural a shot CurlySue, I think you'd like it. Although I have to agree, Fringe is not at all bad -if you get past the poopy-faced gal and the Dawson Creek kid- because it's uber funny in a dark humor -kinda-like-Extras sort of way.

D. I thought I had found a trailer but instead it was the full movie so I scrolled forward 43 times in 5 minutes hence I think I can safely say it's genuinely BS and not remotely connected to the bellow quoted review:

Ah I tried Supernatural and hated it. One of the brothers was Xabi Alonso with curtain hair and I got this weird incestuous vibe from it. Found it boring, tbh, but thanks for the tip.

The whole movie is on some stupid website somewhere. I swear I tried to watch it and it was utterly pathetic. But, according to her its sad that I dont feel warmth from it. A gentle gay love story, wtf. If they were dark and moody and a little bit tense I might enjoy it, but it sounds sickeningly fluffy and I hate that.

Have you tried both Fringe and Supernatural once only? The pilots? I really don't like the actors in them and I am not singing their praises, they're not genius in any sense but I promise the humor is there if you give it a chance

Tried half a series of Supernatural and hated it. I might give Fringe a try because it looks alright but, Joshua Jackson, wtf, he is just Pacey isn't he? I can't help seeing him as that.

Nothing is going to beat my Dexter fad though. I love it. I have a few shows I watch and enjoy actually, but Dexter beats all. Did you ever watch Spooks? Ahhh loved it.

She told me I need to get over myself, stop being so down in the dumps and realise that life does not revolve around whether or not I am pregnant.

Does she not understand that when you have fertility issues life does, indeed, revolve around whether or not you are pregnant? Maybe I'm not meant to be pregnant yet though, she said. Maybe I'm not meant to EVER be pregnant.

She is actually amazing in that she committed every single infertility no-no in one email.

OH its not the first time she has got all up in arms about the fact that I don't like something. We used to watch this same TV show and it turned shit after about the second series so I never bothered watching it any more. She would send me discs saying "At least watch this one" - and I wondered what the point was since I was not up to date with any of it so why would one episode make any sense to me? If I told her I thought it was rubbish, as I can be critical of stuff on TV that is shit, she would go all funny and not speak to me for awhile.

I've just read this entire thread........and I cannot believe my eyes. This woman sounds like a total nutter and you're best shot of her. How can it be God's will to kill a beautiful innocent little boy? And how can it be God's will to deny you a child when there are so many alcoholics, druggies, child abusers, etc with a house full of babies? And besides that, how dare she make presumptions and judgements like that. How insulting, how insensitive.....................sounds to me like she has real problems and is, seriously, rather unhinged. She needs a damn good therapist.

I know there are many genuine, caring, true Christians in the world, but it's people like her that make me never want to set foot in a church again. I, too, have had experience of people calling themselves 'Christian' just because they go to church every week. In actual fact they have been hypocritical, bad people, and I believe they only attend church so that they can kid themselves that they are good people and therefore can do anything they like with a free consience.

I'm so sorry you've had to deal with this. You have more than enough on your plate and you could really do without this kind of crap. It's times like this you really do find out who your true friends are.
