he has a tooth up on the bottom, he turns his head holds on to my nipple with that dam tooth and rips it!

It hurts! my poor nipple!

OMG he has just latched on an the pain! he really has hurt me how do some people get past that as I see some feed for a year? I dont think I can be arsed with bottles and sterilizing to be honest I liked my life as it was.

This not nice an its only one tooth up.

Well girls dont assume it's going to be awful. I really havent noticed Hebe's teeth and she got 2 together ages ago. She's bit me a couple of times but not hard and certainly not enough to make me bleed or even shout ouch! It think some people have more sensitive nips. Dragonfly cant use an electric pump as it's so painful and I used one for ages on full suction and it wasnt even uncomfortable.

Dont panic girls!

Jack only bit me once he has 6 teeth now and i dont even notice them!

yeah I did read in here teeth didnt bother some, maybe my baby is thinking my nipple is a teething ring has anyone elese hurt is it worse as it goes on? I aint stopping but I flinch every time I go to feed him for fear of the pain. I now have stabbing pain in my boob from where he last bite me. And it is painful Mervs mum my nipples have toughened up a lot since before I breastfed . It feels like he is trying to pierce them.

I dont doubt it's painful hun but I dont think it's a good idea to scare the crap out of everyone!!! I just wouldnt want women to stop before they might have for fear of teeth or worse not even start BFing in the first place because they are scared of teeth!! It's not just us BFing mum's reading this.....

hummm suppose your right I didnt think of it that way was just having a winge. if anyone is reading this I am the only one I have seen so far to winge about teeth in nipples. He has only bit it twice and I have feed him loads since and hasnt done it. So its not constant.

xxx Think I know what you mean - Elliot hasn't got teeth yet but went through a short phase of sucking while pulling his head away. I found I had to concentrate a bit more towards the end of feeds so I could release the suction when it looked like he was about to pull away. He hasn't done it for ages now

he hasnt bit since, last time he done it he was looking right at me as if he wanted to see what I would do. He did smile once when he done it to.
Its ok now. But not nice when it happened.

Hiya,

I'm still BFing Charlie & he has 3 teeth now. When he got his first 2 teeth at the bottom (more or less at the same time) he bit me a few times. He did hurt me but I think it was more shock than anything.

I screamed out so loud the first time it scared the shit out of him, me & OH. I was so upset, I passed him to my OH to inspect my nipple.

Everytime he bit me after that I screamed out & immediately passed him to OH or put him down. He soon realised that when he bites he comes off the boob & goes to dad.

He got his top tooth through 2 weeks ago & I was dreading him biting with top & bottom teeth! He has bitten me tonight for the first time in 10 weeks. Wasn't as bad as I imagined. I think he was just pushing his luck. Plus he's not well too.. I went back to the routine of scream, off the boob & given to dad.

I'm not going to lie that yes he has hurt me but it wasn't extremely painful & it wouldn't put me off feeding him or any other babies to come.
