Hello ladies, I was just wondering if it would be classed as 'normal' for one boob to consistently produce more milk than the other? The reason I know that there is a difference is because I express at least twice a day. At the mo I seem to have a difference of about an oz between the two - I get roughly 2oz from one and 3oz from the other each time I express. Also, one boob gets 'harder' than the other when feeding time is coming - I guess it's because there's more milk in one.

Does anyone else experience this? Is it ok or could there be a production prob with one of my boobs?

from what ive read its pretty normal, maybe u should give the boob with the least milk in for 5 mins at each feed then feed as normal, swapping if its the other boobs turn :)

No problem - totally normal. ;) Until your supply is established properly dont worry too much. Your supply is fine if your baby is weeing, pooing and gaining some weight. As time goes by your boobs might not feel to fill to that 'hard' fullness - they will just produced as your baby sucks. My boobs never get hard anymore.....I miss it a bit actually.... but I'm a bit weird.....:shy:

i miss it too, my tits used to be huggge, now theyre small and saggy hahaha

I had this too. Typically the one that was most comfortable for me (ie left side leaving right arm free) is the under performer, always has been and has never caused a problem.

God i'm totally getting the small and saggy thing  I hate to think what state they'll be in once she's done with them
