Can anyone in the UK decide they want to use a birthing pool if their hospital has one?

yes as long as you have a low risk pregnancy and under 35 years old. . although it works on a first come first sevred basis.. and my hospital there was a slim to none chance of the unit being adequately staffed cos a MW has to be with you at all times..

I wanted the water birth so bad that I wasnt gonna risj it..
so I bought my own birthing pool and did it at home! :happydance:

I really want a home birth but i'd worry how i'd cope :shrug: Guess we'll see when I actually get pregnant!
 
After seeing the girl in the birthing pool last week, I think it looks amazing!!

well im sure you could have a hoe birth i dont know what one is though so you best get looking into it

Its very calm.. I didnt scream.. I had G&A over tthe side.. gently floating.. my body took over and popped him right out (only a graze no tears) after being in the pool 5 hours. I didnt have chance to notice how prune like my skin was turning! haha

Donna and her husband are annoying! He is too nice and too keen! lol
 
And that's why internals shouldn't be done. God I remember that awful feeling.
 
going home empty handed?? she should be thankful its still in her belly!

Aww, I think thats so lovely:) And all in the comfort of your own home!
I wasn't much of a screamer myself - more of a grunter ;)- but i love the idea of the baby coming out into water!
If I find a decent man and have another, thats the way I'm going to go :haha:
