One Lazy boob.

Is it normal to have one boob which churns out gallons and one which doesn't?

I've been expressing milk for 15 days now and the amount increases over time. But one boob does heaps and the other, not so much.

I do it every 3-4 hours for 10 minutes each side. But I'm starting to need to do it more as my right boob always seems like it is too full after a couple of hours. But then the more I do it the more I will produce and do I need to calm it down a little?

Our daughter is in NNICU and I am producing more than enough for her feeds. I'm just not sure how to progress this.

Yes, it's very common. Lazy boob - !
Can you express more from the lazy boob to try to get more out of it? If not, I wouldn't worry too much. If baby has enough, that's the main thing.

The more you do it to relieve it the worse it will get!

Go with a strict pumping schedule and see how you get on - the right boob may engorge a little but it will settle down in line with the pumping. If it gets painfully engorged just pay a nice warm face cloth over it to relieve the pressure without actually pumping and sending the message to produce more

I know my right boob doesn't produce so much because it's no where near the same size as my left anymore

Toriaaa, my boobs are both the same comedy large size as each other. I'd understand if the lazy one was smaller. But i'd also be a bit perturbed by it....

Abby is doing fine. Off all her monitors and feeding well through her tube. We tried a little suckling yesterday and she at least seemed interested. It was my right boob which now, of course, has gone into overdrive.....

I'm doing fine too thanks. Last week was a rough week, but this week is good.
