what methods of protection have you girls used/do use? as i said in my previous thread, i'm not aiming to get pregnant for at least another year. i've been on the pill (i'm on yasmin and was on ovranette before that) but i have several issues with it. for one thing i hate taking something that messes with my body and is unnatural. another thing, neither pill has kept my periods regular, they give me moodswings and makes me not want sex as much. and also i find it really hard to remember to take it everyday.
i dont like condoms as i cant feel as much during sex and also a good 75% of the ones ive used have split in the past. i'm not sure which way to turn as i know that no protection is 100% perfect. any ideas??
:lolly:

All my mates are on the injection..you have it every 12weeks i think. x

Yeah i definately think the pill. Theres one you can take which lasts 3 years, then one you get which u have topped up every 3 weeks.

Im going on the 3 year one after bubz is born x

I had the 3 year one in before i the pill, although i didnt keep it in for 3 years i think it was the best one...im getting it back in after my baby too.

I'm on the implant. It depends on how your body reacts to it but me and 2 of my friends bleed constantly. The depo jab is good you have it every 12 weeks and you don't get periods. I just don't fancy having a jab that often lol got a terrible phobia of needles xx

I was on the pill but then got pregnant on it. :dohh:

So now I'm thinking about a birth control patch. It's supposed to be really easy, you patch it on only once a week and it carries very few symptoms.

Nothings 100% effective! And Im carrying proof of that!
I was on the pill and fell pregnant.
Im probably going to have the coil after Iv given birth
Xx

ive decided the best contraceptive is just not to have sex lol....

But seriously think the implant is the best one x

You should talk to your doctor about the pill, explain the side effects you're experiencing and they can probably put you on something with a different level of hormones that would agree with you better, if you don't want to take the pill, having the injection is probably not the answer either because it's all to do with your hormones as well.. plus you get fewer periods, which might seem more "unnatural" to you.

If you don't want to use condoms either, a lot of other methods seem sort of invasive and I wouldn't try them.. but here's a site that could be useful to you :)
