One step pregnancy test...false positive?

I did a test this morning, staright away it came up with two lines and its stayed like that. Later on today i did another cheapie but a different brand and a clearblue digi and they was both negative i dont know what too think?! anyone ever had a false positive?

Your HCG might just not be high enough to show up in the afternoon. Try again in the morning with FMU Good luck!

I use the one step IC's and the ones i have are 10miu. This makes these more sensitive than a CB Digi which only has 50miu of sensitivity. I got a BFP with my last pregnancy at 9 dpo with an IC but digi's never confirmed this until the following day. Good luck

That definitely looks positive I think! I'd retest again tomorrow & I think you'll get anothe positive test!

Yes its true, i was reading a list of all the strengths of tests today on the internet because i tested this morning after an IUI, im only 8dpo but it was more through boredom of waiting! My test looks very similar to yours (pics on my thread in here) I would not even take a digi until 10dpo or even 11dpo now... They are a little notorius for not being very sensitive, IC's are the most sensitive tests i have seen on the market although you do have the downfall of evaps, i've had strong pink lines and its been negative, they are not completely reliable but they CAN be! The good thing about digis though is that they say it how it is, no line spotting and guessing etc. Good luck for tomorrow

I would take another IC first and then see what its like.... its hard to tell you what to do but if you are around 10dpo or later then i would take the digi but if you think you are less then don't. It also depends on the IC and whether that has gotten any darker but having said that the line on my IC was almost non existant at 9dpo but the next day a digi confirmed i was pregnant. I have to buy digis off the internet because they cost a bomb here so i am more stingy with them but i think if i had access to some the price of what they cost in the UK then i would take it, i'm not a patient person though, i just want to know either way!

Well this morning ive done a digi and another cheapie (cant remember what brand!) and nothing just a nice NOT PREGNANT!! oh well

Your IC looked positive but those tests are not so reliable. maybe it's still early for the digi to show pregnant. If I were you I'd try with a FRER tomorrow. Good luck hun xx
