Onto Next Round of Clomid - CD1

Savvy, have you gotten all of your faint positives on the wondfos? I was using those to test out my trigger shot and even though I knew the hcg was obviously in my system, I never got a dark positive. It was always really faint so maybe it's just those tests? Good luck today though! Let us know what happens!

Allison, I never thought about that before, but yes I got all the faint positives on the wondfos plus one faint positive on a dollar tree test (taken Sunday)!!!

You might be right, that those tests don't get much darker, or at least the batch I got. I was planning on picking up a frer today while I was out since I know I won't get my blood test results today. I really don't care how light or dark the line gets...as long as there is a healthy baby growing, that is all that matters!

Thank you for your suggestion :flower: - that definitely makes me feel better and a lot more hopeful!

Hi ladies! Thanks for the warm welcome! I'll join the other threads you all have started. It's so nice to have people to compare symptoms to :)

So the long story of my late period/no BFPis that month 1 and 2 of clomid I ovulated day 17... During those months, I was obsessively testing with opks (up to five times a day!!!). So this month I wanted to be more relaxed and felt confident in my body's ability to respond to the clomid. So I had one last ovulation test that I saved for day 16. When I tested that day it wasn't positive, but it was close, so I felt good in saying I was going to ovulate cd 17 or 18 (two weeks ago Monday/Tuesday). This past weekend I started getting some cramping after I ran (for about 30 seconds). Sunday and Monday the cramping became more frequent and I had an episode do some spotting. So in my mind, Tuesday was the day (right as I expected, but not confirmed by opks). Tuesday came and went. Wednesday came and the cramping has lessened, but I did have some pain from constipation. Also, as someone who doesn't typically cry, since sundry I've cried probably 6-7 times.. For almost nothing..just people making little comments that I normally wouldn't notice.

If this isn't pregnancy.. Then I am just going crazy!! :)

Savvy, how many days late were you when you got your first faint bfp? 6 days?

I really hope this means a positive for you...from my own personal experience, I can say TTC has just made me crazy in general.

Good luck

So I talked to the doctor and then got my blood drawn this afternoon. She made it sound like it didn't matter much that all the hpt lines were so light - saying some women take longer to get their bfps on them. She was going to run the labs and I can call after 1pm tomorrow. I feel so calm and relaxed finally. I didn't even buy a frer, I just figured the blood test will be all the confirmation I need.

babytee - Fx'd for a positive for you! When do you plan on testing?
If I base my answer off my usual 24 - 26 day cycles then I got my first faint BFP when I was about 8 - 10 days late. I tested about 5 times before and all the tests were clearly BFN. I had a bit of brown spotting on Saturday, which I never get before AF but still had me worried. When AF never showed I decided to test on Sunday, I was shocked to see a super faint line. Should know for sure tomorrow!

With all the technology in the world, I will never understand why some tests take longer to get results. Seems a doctor's office could check within a few hours if blood work is positive...but then again, I am no doctor.

Good luck with the results...I am sure it is exactly what you have been waiting for :)

I agree! I can pee on a stick and find out the results in 3 - 5 minutes but it takes 24 hours to get the blood work test read.

As long as they don't mess up like a few months ago. Had to get my potassium and other things checked so I got my blood drawn, comes back off the charts like I shouldn't be alive. They obviously messed it up but with all going on at that time I had to run back in to give more blood! I hate getting blood drawn and the office is not close at all!

Savvy, I'm so glad you're feeling more relaxed!! I have no doubt that you're gonna get the official good news tomorrow. So exciting! :happydance:

Savvy, thanks for letting me know. I'm trying to stay positive through your story that things could actually be working out! I'm hopeful that your test will confirm and you will finally be no longer TTC! Have you had sore boobs or extra sleepy or any of the other "typical" symptoms yet?

In my head I'm trying to rationalize the fact that I've had cramping on and off for several days with no signs of AF as a good thing. But then I don't want to be disappointed again, so I'm trying to stay level headed with a hopeful edge :) I did have some brown spotting after a particularly intense bout of cramps on Monday (again after running a mile), but that could mean so many different things!

Ugh. Waiting is the worst!

ERose, Thanks! I am patiently waiting until 1pm to call the office. I will post the results!

babytee, First off before it gets confusing...I did not take clomid. I met ERose on another thread and joined this discussion to learn about clomid and other options.

The first thing I really noticed was lower back pain (mainly on the sides), I never get back pain. I also had a strange bubbling sensation with a few poking pains a few weeks ago. I did have some pretty constant cramps starting a week or so before AF, just like dull aches below the belly button. Boobs are a tad bit sore and I actually am having a hard time sleeping, I am up constantly throughout the night.

I have had mild, dull cramps in the center below belly button for over 2+ weeks now. I had some very unusual brown spotting Saturday with some severe cramps and I thought I would see AF show, instead I got a faint BFP the next day. Hopefully the blood test can confirm the faint BFP's I have been getting - should know for sure in a few hours!

So AF is late? Fx'd these are good signs for you! Keep thinking positive!!

Got an email this AM that I will not get my reading until tomorrow. I am really anxious to see what she says. I am just so tired of all this mess!

I still have not gotten a peak on my monitor...so any day now. I still feel gross. The timing is still working out ok. We got a session in yesterday, thank god. Rushed as usual. And today I won't be able to be home when he is, so a little relieved to not see a peak yet.

Hi Guys!

I am currently on cycle day 30 of an average 31 days. AF expected on Saturday 07/12/2013. I've had mild cramping and lower backache for the past 5 days.
I've also had extremely heavy and sore BBs since Friday 29 November 2013.
oh and I am SO SLEEPY!!! Like seriously, I have no energy whatsoever! I love going to the gym but just could not get my bum there this past week!

I don't know if these are signs of pg or PMS but I sure ain't getting my hopes up.
We've been trying for 18 months now so....

Anyways, good luck to you ladies! FX for all of you!

OH NO. that will mean ours will probably be delayed too. Its ok.

Welcome babyboots! Lots of baby dust to you! I hate that PMS and preg symptoms are the same! It's such a tease! Lol

Sorry your reading was delayed, beaglemom. She's been delaying a lot of people I've heard. She must be busy I guess. How was your husbands appt? It was yesterday, right?

Good luck to babytee and babyboots!! I hope your signs are good signs! :)

beaglemom, sorry about the reading! I get the feeling she's a very busy woman. I didnt get mine in the 24-hr timeframe that I paid, but it was only an additional day later, so I was ok with that.

Savvy should be getting her results any minute now!!! Can't wait!!! :happydance:

When I first submitted mine, I received an email stating she had a family emergency. So I think she is playing catch up from that. But I also think she is very busy. I am not really that annoyed, but she may want to change how she portrays her timing on her services.

His appt went as well as we thought. They will do another analysis in a couple of weeks & also test his testosterone. But basically the dr said based on how long we have been trying, we will need to take an alternate path. Pretty much expected all that. So now I need to be more aggressive with my dr & my testing. I would like to be moving in a definite direction before the end of March...no real reason except just want to get this moving! I have requested they adjust my next appt so it includes some of the next step testing...instead of just a consultation to talk...that is what it is now is a talk after the initial 3 failed rounds of clomid.

But round 3 ain't over yet!!!

Well, the line was busy all afternoon and they aren't open Friday. I was calling every 10 minutes. Finally got through. They said the results came back "early pregnancy" and I need to come back in a week for another blood test. Like I really need more to worry about? I keep telling myself every thing is fine. Of course I leave for vacation on the 10th so I am going in on Monday even though it is early. Thanks girls for listening and remaining positive.

Beaglemom, sorry your reading is delayed! I understand about emergencies but if you run a business you need to also take care of commitments too. Hoping you get it tomorrow! After all my GI appointment with specialists I have realized there is no quick way with scheduling appointments. Don't give up trying to get the earliest appointment even saying call you if there is a cancellation can help. Appointments cost money and don't leave until all of your questions are answered. But like you said. ..round 3 isn't over! Fx'd and lots of baby dust sent your way!

Early pregnancy is still pregnancy so congratulations!!! I'm sure everything will be fine on Monday! Don't worry!

I looked & my email from last night came at 1:30 am my time...tempted to stay up but I know I won't be able to. But I usually don't sleep through the night, so maybe I will remember to check. I would love to call my husband at work later tonight & read it to him.

As far as your results go, I say take this as a good thing...the way I see it, worrying is not going to do anything but cause stress which is not good for your body. Make sure you take care of yourself...& whatever happens, happens...but for right now...

YOU ARE PREGNANT! Congrats, lady!
