Society. There are things which are generally accepted and things which are not when it comes to associating with animals.

How safe is is it too feed a cat human milk what are the health consequences for this cat? Our bodies contain cells, hormones etc that maybe not be compatible with a cats internal system.
They have trouble digesting cows milk hence why they sell cat milk so I am dubious even if she were to express.

this is hardly the most "hideous" thing i have ever seen. i don't think it would even rank in the top 100.
i will agree that it's a bit weird, but only because i've never seen or heard of it before, so it's new to me.

as far as the comments on how she could donate it to a milk bank .. maybe there are none close enough? There is no milk bank close enough to me that I could ever donate my milk. Not everybody has that option.
I think it also depends on how old her baby is as well, because I believe I read that if your baby is over 6 months old you can't donate to a milk bank.

I don't think the woman and the father are disgusting either. and I also don't think the woman in africa are disgusting.

just because its unusual shouldn't make it hideous or disgusting or wrong ..
I wish more people would be open minded to things like this.

I haven't read this whole thread, but I think the topic of other species breastmilk gets really distorted. People get so vociferous about it and that weirds me out. We all think cow and goat milk products are normal but some folk think even breastfeeding a baby is weird.

It's certainly unusual to give breastmilk to pets but there are far more damaging things a person could do IMO...
