Our babies are all grown up - December 2009 and January 2010 toddlers

oh thats brill, might have a look into it. Daisy sleeps on her front now, has done for a couple of months. I worried for a while but after looking into it it doesnt seem to be a problem after 6 months :) x

another q - are all your babys in their own rooms now? x

Wow I 've never seen these, what a good idea!

Evie is still in with us, hubby thinks it's time she had her own room but it breaks my heart thinking about it (yes I am a wimp lol). When she starts sleeping better then it's something I'll have to change I think. My excuse at the minute is I'm not going in and out of rooms all night :haha: so she has to stay in with us x

Daisy's in with us too but I'm finally ready for her to venture to her own room, just need to get her some carpet down, but its so expensive, good job she only has a little room, wish we'd have decorated the bigger of the 3 though for her cause she has soo many toys our living room is literally like a play room :)

x

Evies room 'was' lovely, it is now full of boxes and too small clothes :/. I know what you mean about the playground, her birthday was on christmas day, we can hardly move for toys, hubby said we need an extension for them lol x

Madi has been in her own room from about 2 months I think. The only reason for this was because she grew out of her moses basket so fast and we couldn't fit a cot in our room. It worked for us cause our house isn't that big so her room wasn't far and with the doors open I could hear everything. Its good now cause she has no problems going to bed in her own room by herself but at the time it was hard.

Daisy first slept in her own room at 9 months but has only ever slept in there a handful of times as getting up a dozen times a night and walking across the landing is much more hard work than just leaning out of bed and reaching her from her cot in our room! She always ends up in with us anyway.

JC- great to see you again too, Daisy is so pretty and so grown up now!

We were not really TTC - in fact it was not planned! We were going to wait until Abigail was one and then start as we did want a small age gap. However there was just one time when we were not careful. Since I was still BF and had not got my periods back we didn't think much of it - and now here we are, 23 weeks along! It was a bit of a shock at first, but now I am really pleased. I think being so young, Abigail will not (hopefully!) get so jealous as she will adjust quickly to having a little one around. That might be wishful thinking though! We've been lucky with her sleeping, so I think maybe I am blotting out in my mind how terrible the sleep deprivation is at first. On the other hand, I'm going to have to go through it all again at some point so might as well be sooner rather than later. The thing that worries me most is how I will ever get out of the house with two. It honestly takes me an age these days to get Abigail in her coat, hat, gloves etc, not to mention her pushchair or car seat, as well as getting myself ready and she will obviously still be too young to dress herself so I think that's going to be a challenge next winter. Good luck to all of you who are TTC.

Abigail has been in her own room since 6 and a half months and has been sleeping well since 7 months when we did sleepsense with her. I have not considered getting her a pillow and won't for a while I don't think as she never sleeps in the same place in her cot. I'm going to stick with the Grobags for as long as I can, hopefully until she moves into a big bed, although she is tall so sooner or later she'll outgrow the big sizes.

Anyway, here are a couple of recent pics of Abigail. One is taken at her party (she's the serious looking one in red!) and the other is taken at my mum's house - she is on the rocking horse that I had when I was a little girl :)

Aww, Abigail looks so grown up too! She's gorgeous. I love her hair.

I can't wait for Daisy to have more hair !

Has anyone's baby had their 12 month booster yet? Were they okay after it? Daisy has hers tomorrow and I have that familiar sense of dread that I used to have when she had to have her injections :(. I know she has to have them but it is horrible having to get them done, especially as she knows what is going on more now too. Also, out of interest how often do you get your baby weighed now? I never get a chance to go to the clinic really because of work.

Evies not had hers yet, are we supposed to receive something through the post? I was reading somewhere on here that lots of people wait until 15 months though, something to do with they still have our immunity to measles so the mmr might not be as effective or something so now I don't know what to do.

They're not nice are they, I cried last time before she even did them, I think the nurse thought I was a nut job

We've not had Evie weighed for a couple of months, I think I'm paranoid incase she's lost weight since she's been on the move because she's not the best eater, really silly as I know most babies do when they're crawling round and climbing up and down!

Here's a few pics from Evies birthday/party, I wanted to put them all on lol x

Evie and Abigail are so cute, their pictures are lovely. I love Evie's cakes.

Madi was due her jags on her birthday so i didn't take her, not looking forward to them sending through another appointment :nope:

I haven't had Madi weighed since she was about 9 months and that was only because the doctor offered when we were there for an appointment. I can never make it to the HV weigh-in because of work.

Abigail was due hers just before Christmas and I didn't take her as I didn't want her to be off over Christmas, so now I have to re-book for the New Year. I think these 12 month boosters are different from the MMR. I am going to delay the MMR, at least until I decide whether to give it to her or not which could take me ages! She'll have all the others that she's due though.

Evie is a darling. I love her cake :).

Yes, tomorrow will just be her booster not the MMR which I will delay. As she's already had mumps I want to see if I can get single vaccines for measles and rubella. I want to cancel her injections tomorrow but it isn't easy for us both to go once me and hubby are back at work so it will be best to have it done tomorrow. When I was feeding her before she went to bed I was stroking her little cheek and I felt like I wanted to cry because she has no idea what's in store tomorrow :(.

Has anyone got any plans for NYE? Last new year's eve I had mastitis and was sooooo ill. I was asleep ion the sofa and hubby woke me up to hear the chimes then I went straight to bed! This year I doubt I'll even be able to stay awake for midnight . I might treat myself to one glass of champagne though :).

Good luck tomorrow :hugs:

This year for new year we are all going to my parents with other family for dinner and drinks. Just going to put Madi to bed in her travel cot and we will stay the night as well. Last year Madi was only 2 weeks old and I was exhausted. I managed to stay awake for the midnight cheers but feel asleep on the couch straight after.

Hello again ladies, coming over from the original thread in toddlers (I'm always a bit slow!) Lovely to see the pictures of little one's birthdays and beautiful cakes - they look so grown up! :happydance:

I've had a letter to say that Holly is due her jabs and that they do the boosters and MMR together now which I'm really not happy about so I think I'll do what lots of you are planning and delay the MMR bit for a while longer.

NYE - may be spending it with friends who have a 3 month old, but I think they're a bit stressed so we might just be home alone. Better than last year though which was spent in the children's hospital as Holly had vomited quite a bit of blood (turned out it was just from from my battered boobs luckily!) so jchihuahua I can sympathise about feeling pretty rotten with poorly bosoms.

Cattia - congratulations! Wow, Abigail is only a day older than Holly and I feel quite terrified at the prospect of even TTC at the moment so you're a mcuh braver woman than I am! That said we have discussed it, but I think we're waiting until Holl is somewhere near 2 and it's not really a given as yet ... let's just say there wouldn't be much opportunity at the moment anyway!!! :winkwink::blush:

Evie's cakes are amazing, did you make them yourself? I am very impressed :) JC I am thinking of getting sepearte vaccines too, although they're pricey.

We are going to some friends' for NYE. We went there last year and they also have a baby 4 weeks older than Abigail, so last year we had the babies asleep on us all evening! This year with any luck they will be asleep upstairs - Abigail has slept there several times in a travel cot and then we just wheel her home in the pram later as it's only a five minute walk. The biggest shame is that being pg again I STILL can't enjoy a decent drink! I swear I can't wait for the day when I can have a few glasses of wine without having to worry. Maybe next year....

Thankyou and nooo the kitchen is so not my department! My friend made them x
