I woke up this morning and my husband took one look at me and said "WOW!". He was shocked at the change... somehow my breasts and belly just blew up overnight!! It's a crazy amount of change.. they've been slowly growing over the past couple weeks, I had a definite bump, but this morning it's just "BAM!!". My weight still hasn't gone up though.

That's great! how many weeks are you ? Baby went through a growth spurt

I just hit 17 weeks yesterday. And I can feel my uterus above my belly button.. I think she definitely grew!! I was sore all day yesterday too so that was probably from expansion.

Sometimes the way baby lays can really change how your belly looks! Its kinda neat lol

Well she better stay where she is then! I promised my sister in laws they would see a bump at Xmas..lol. One of them wants to poke it, even though I told her she won't be able to feel her yet.

That is so nice and exciting... and made me cry a little bit from jealousy... but happy jealous I promise. Good for you. I have a Christmas party in two days and at almost six months it looks like I will be in my normal clothes.

Aww.. I totally feel for you Sara.. but on the brighter side, I also have two little angry red stretch marks already. Your belly will probably still look lovely after all this!!

That's awesome!its very exciting when you start to show. Just FYI though- your uterus isn't above your belly button until after 20 weeks- at 17 weeks it's 3 fingers width below your belly button :)

Yeah.. no stretchies for me. I bought that Palmers butter and my husband and I both rub it on my belly at night. I don't really care though but my husband probably won't love them. He really likes my skin these days. It's so crazy soft.

Not for everyone... I'm 4'9". Not as much space as an average woman. My uterus has been higher since the very beginning. Every time I get an ultrasound, the tech has asked "are you sure you're only XX weeks?" My sister was the same way, she is just a bit taller. I'll double check with the doc at my appointment on Tuesday, but pretty sure that's what I'm feeling! I've been feeling it as it moves up for weeks.

I'm 5'9 and I have a very short torso (my legs are as long as my 6'2 husband's)...I'm 16 weeks and my uterus is just at my belly button. Doctor confirmed that was it too...when I lay down it stays sticking up! I think those guidelines are for people with loooong torsos, or possibly just not accurate.

I'm glad to know I'm not crazy! With my size, I have found that pretty much every guideline for what should happen, where things should be, etc. is wrong for me.

I had my days wrong, appointment was today. Doc confirmed that is my uterus and baby is higher than average because of my small size. It's probably why I started showing early, as well as feeling it early. My entire torso feels like it is just boobs and belly now!
