overweight and ttc

Ah happy belated birthday ! Did you have a good time?

Sorry no ovulation yet, maybe it will be a longer cycle than expected. However sometimes opks don't pick up the lh surge so if you don't get a positive this month doesn't mean your not ovulating :)

Hubbys analysis went well, get the results either tommorow or Friday, keeping positive. He's very fit and healthy, young, non smoker and hardly ever drinks so hoping that plays in his favour. Last thing we need is him having issues too !

Me too! Hoping we see lots of early Christmas presents in the form of bfps! X

It's awful having to wait; I hope his results are great :)

I have had twinges and aches and every time I cough or blow my nose I get a funny feeling to the right side, and the front of my thighs are really achy this evening. I've been at work and it was a stressful day - I suppose it might just be due to squatting down to deal with children all day!

I've written a list of things that may have been "symptoms" (some of which I got from looking through my posts on here) and reckon my first symptoms started around 23rd October (the achy boobs and a really, really horrendous dream!). Can't work out how far along I am (if it's real, of course - lol!).

I wanted to sleep on my tummy last night, as always, but it was uncomfortable! So I had to tuck my knees up just slightly so that I wasn't putting as much pressure on my tummy. I feel like this can't possibly be real lol... and I am so convinced that if it is, something bad will happen. I am so paranoid it's unreal, but I've still got two weeks to go until my midwife appointment - and I can't work out when I am supposed to get scanned and get some reassurance lol... I have told my boyfriend that if anything goes wrong, it's not the end of the world as I wasn't expecting to conceive so soon - but in reality I'm obviously hoping everything is fine. I guess that's what I always do, though - prepare for the worst! I am 100% a pessimist lol :) Also, if it's that uncomfortable to sleep on my tummy every night, I want to buy something to help me sleep on my side because I find it impossible normally - and I don't fancy spending money if the whole thing is in my head!

Hello ladies...

Eegee...I say go ahead and get what you need to help you sleep o your side...because it's uncomfortable for you to sleep on your tummy now even if you refuse to believe you are pregnant you are uncomfortable on your tummy so why not get something to help you sleep more comfy...how is your boyfriend taking the news?

Comet...wow you might get your results that fast? It took like two weeks to get my hubby results back...it seemed like months tho...I hope you get good results!

Mrslemon...happy belated birthday...hopefully you will O soon...

Emmyreece....sounds like a yummy menu to me...especially the coconut curry chicken...what are magic pancakes?

As for me I am holding off the urge to test...today everything has tasted 'off' and I don't know why...things just don't taste as good as usual...hubby says he thinks I am getting sick...can funky taste be an early symptom? Lol I know I am just reaching for straws...I had an upset stomach today but that could be an AF symptom...and i have been very tired lately but I have been working a lot of over time at my job...

Has anyone started Christmas shopping yet?

Magic pancakes are oats soaked in a mullerlight and egg overnight and then fried the following morning, they're actually surprisingly very nice :D

I've actually finished my Christmas shopping  I'm not normally this organised but hubby was putting money away for our honeymoon so I started sorting Christmas pressies for our families back in august

I don't want to give you false hope, but I have heard of a lot of women saying that things tasted weird when they were in early pregnancy. So you never know. When is af due?

Last night wasn't so bad, but I woke up at about 03:30 and struggled to get back to sleep. Perhaps I can survive without the pillow thing for now! Think my sense of smell is stronger today as our cat is sat beside me and every time she yawns I can smell her stinky breath haha.

My boyfriend is okay at the moment, I think he's just as shocked as I am. I don't want to start planning too far ahead and then something goes wrong, so I keep reminding him that it could be wrong and it might not be happening as expected lol... I just don't want us to get our hopes up and then be let down. I wish they'd do scans sooner - can't bear the thought of waiting ages! It could even end up being the new year before we know any more!

I can't believe you've done your Christmas shopping already, Emmy. I feel like Christmas is still months away lol!

AF isn't due till the 21st...which seems like an eternity! I know I am trying to not get my hopes up but at the same time be positive....it is a hard balance...I know we dtd at a really good time this month...I want to do it a fee more times just to make sure but hubby was 'tired' Lol my cycles are a little long but I did opks and we dtd at good times sooooo I am very hopeful!

I have about half of my Christmas shopping done...just a few big things to get which I am ordering off of Amazon so that will be easy...

I had dreams last night that I was pregnant and not telling anyone cuz I wasn't showing yet lol

christmas? i havent even started yet! nor have i got any baby things

Eegee: glad you got some sleep last night! The sense if smell symptom shows again your definitely pregnant!

Alex: oh how strange! It's definitely one to two days down here, they give you a time slot and the specialist looks straight away at his sample, then emails the results to my doctor. I have also heard many women get a strange taste in their mouth as an early symptom, fingers tightly crossed for you!!

I'm also nearly finished Christmas shopping, I get over excited haha x

So we got the results back, it's not good news :'(. He has normal count and mobility but his abnormalities are high. You have to be in the range of 5% -100% of normal sperm, his are less than 5% normal. She is making him do another because it may just be a bad batch, but it pushes my referral to the specialist back by a month :(. Gutted is not even the word for me right now... pcos and bad swimmers all within 2 months? What else.

:hugs: would it be worth maybe getting him on wellman conception? It has zinc and some other things in too and that could possibly help. I can't remember if you said he was taking any supplements (brain like a sieve and I'm trying to figure out what to make for dinner) xx

So sorry to hear that :( Hopefully, like they suggested, it might just have been a "bad batch" - but even if the next result is still the same, it only takes one sperm out of millions so there is still hope. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you :)

Awww thats rubbish news :( but as been said before it only takes one sperm to make that baby!! It will happen try to keep positive xxx

Thank you girls!

Hubby is already on maca supplements, vitamin c and zinc which are all meant to help :).

Had some sneaky chocolate and crisps to cheer me up... oopps haha x

Don't worry about the chocolate and crisps, I think it's justified! :)

Aww...I'm sorry Comet...I know how you are feeling...I ate a lot of chocolate ice cream after we got hubby got his results back...and cried a lot...I am hoping it was a bad batch...how long has he been taking his supplements?

I cried a lot too. He has been taking maca for two weeks, vitamin c and zinc for three, so it's still early days. I have done alot of research and folic acid and vitamin e help with morphology of the sperm, so as of last night he also takes them! Haha. Like an old couple taking their meds before bed! X

Really sorry Comet :hugs: , only can echo what others have said that maybe just a batch, FX for his next appointment.
