Do any of you know when your ovulating? How do you tell? :dohh:

i use opks ( ovulation predictor tests) they tell you when you have you lh surge 24_36hrs before you ovulate there are other ways but i just dont trust them you can buy them from any good chemist or you an get them very cheep from amazon but there a bit diferent but im going to try them this cycle,
most women can tell by an increse in cm an pain around the ovaries but i find i change sometimes i dont have pain,
how many days are in your cycle i may be able to give you a rough guide x

I get a, I suppose you could call it a cramp... but its like someone stabbed me. Just a really Sharp pain. It lasts about 20ish mins and then is gone. Also by cervical mucus, and iv used opks just to make sure that's what it is ;)

Appparently you can get posiitive OPKs and still not actually ovulate. Best way for the average person to tell is to take your temperature daily and log the temps with Fertility Friend (see my charts link in my siggy). When your temp rises it means you've ovulated and FF works it out for you.

I use BBT and record on ff. I also use opk but I do not ov until around cd 18. I think I have a short luteal phase!

syou can use opk or google signs of ovulation.it will give you all you need to know about what to look for and how to look for it...thats what i did anyway.

It's only my 2nd cycle off BC, but both months I've had two days of cramps followed by four days of sore boobs. I can't get a + on opk and my bbt is all over the place, but I'm pretty sure that I've ovulated. xx

Usually if you have erratic temps it's from sleeping with your mouth open or temping at different times, it makes a HUGE difference. Next cycle you could try temping vaginally. Don't start in the middle of a cycle though because vaginal temps are usually higher. It's easier to see ovulation temping vaginally.

There could also be a chance you're not ovulating. You can bleed every month and not be ovulating. Especially since you just got off BC, you're body could have prepared to ovulate (hence cramping and tender breasts) but failed. That could be why you aren't getting a positive opk or a thermal shift. If you don't have a clear thermal shift you did not ovulate. Of course some people just can't get a positive and there are other factors that cause erratic bbt- like I mentioned above.

I really hope you did ovulate! All of the ttc things are hard to get the hang of! Good luck!!!! :hugs:

Sometimes I get a pain, not every month though (hope I'm still ov-ing when there's no pain!)

I check my cervix daily and track cervical mucus. I know when I ovulate because my cervix is high, soft and open. I also know because my cervical mucus is watery, I don't get ewcm like most women do.

I use cbfm, cm and opk's. I'll start temping if I'm TTC long term but would rather not yet. I think it's the only way you know for sure though.

I've gotten cramping/pinching feeling on one side that is on/off for maybe one or two days, a few weeks ago (i think i ovulated) i had this same feeling and also had some light brown tint on t.p. when i wiped a few times. Although ive heard that spotting during ovulation isnt very common

I know the answer is going to be TMI lol, but how do you check your cervix and how to you know if it feels any different??

xx
