Hi Ladies,

I am currently in my first cycle of TTC after having the implanon removed. I was a LTTC'er previously and had very long, very irregular cycles and so I took a year out to lose weight. I have now lost ten and a half stone and decided to start TTC again. I am currently on CD12 and got a very positive OPK and a smiley face on a CB digi opk yesterday :happydance: I was chuffed to bits! My OPK's were negative today However, I am crippled with cramps and bloating today in my back and lower stomach, like severe period pains and my hips are killing me which I assume is ovulation pain Any advice of how to relive it and how long it's likely to last? I've tried painkillers and heat but neither a helped.

sounds like you O'd! that's good news. However... the pain with the o, i get that from time to time. I have to do heating pads and things. it sucks. never had it before i had my kid. Now, i get all kinds of fun things around O time, and sometimes, sadly, they stay til i get af. :( hope it's not like that for you!

Feeling a bit better now with some better painkillers and heat. Sorry to hear yours lasts a while, do you think you just didn't notice it before your kids or that for some reason it's changed since having them? I've never had regular cycles and to be honest I don't think I ovulated very often before so not sure if this is likely to be a regular occurrence or not. Hate complaining when it's a great sign for me, I'd much rather than have the cramps and ovulate than not have them but not ovulate so I guess I should count my blessings. :) will be hard to dtd if you feel rubbish though. DH and I Dtd yesterday before I even knew I was ovulating and haven't done anything since but I'm not going to put pressure on us, it's our first month TTC so trying to stay lighthearted and relaxed about it, it took over my life the last time and made me miserable so I'm refusing to go back there again! Ovulating is certainly a great a start, at least we have a chance now! And if all else fails we can get help from fertility specialists now, previously I was so big they refused to help. Feeling quietly hopeful about everything this time round.

Oh no i definitely didn't have it before dd. It all came after. along with tons of other little things i never had. drs say it's actually a common occurrence, and your body sometimes because of all the changes it goes under carrying a person can really change your body! so basically they told me to get used to it. ugh!

Aw that sucks! Makes sense to be fair, your body goes through many changes during pregnancy. Shame there's nothing they can do but I guess it's not a bad thing if your TTC as you get the heads up that your body is working it's magic. :D
