So, I know I'm thinking about this rather early but while I start setting up bubs room I have been thinking about getting the bags organised as I go.

I'm hoping to give birth in a birthing centre which means only a 4 to 6 hr stay if all goes well. And, while they have a pretty simple list of things you need to bring I'm wondering if I should pack extra in case we end up getting transferred and stay in hospital longer? Even maybe just in an extra bag to keep in the car? What do you all think? I dont want to overpack and go crazy but id hate to be under prepared.

My centre recommendeds at least:
Diapers/wipes
2 x sleep suits
2 x singlets
Hat
Mittens
Socks
2 x cotton blankets
1 x baby blanket
1 x going home outfit (I'm having a winter bub so this will be a set of body suit, leggings and a jacket)

This already seems like a lot for a 4 hr stay for bub AND for the clothing I was already going to pack 1 lot in 00000 size and 1 in 0000 as i'm very tiny and feel like I'll be having a tiny bub but obviously need to make sure bub has clothes that will fit even if they arent tiny! (Yes I know I could cut out the 00000 size stuff if im worried about over packing but I just hate when things dont fit right so thats my own OCD)

Sounds like a good list to me. Even if you get transferred to a hospital. They have baby clothes bub would wear there too.

And I'm sure if you end up in the hospital for some reason, you can send your OH or someone else home to get other necessities for baby if you need anything more.
