Can you still paint your nails when you breastfeed? can you paint your nails in the same room as the baby? i am wondering if the fumes are toxic? i just painted my toe nails ( the window was open).

thanks

I wouldn't do it in a closed up room, but I think it should be ok as long as you're not hovering over your lo while doing it.

haha, i used to paint mine while sat next to the cot waiting for lo to go to sleep. I joked it would help him on his way!
its fine in the room but i wouldnt while bf, bit too close x

I paint mine at night when LO goes to sleep!

i'm impressed at the image of balancing bfing baby on one arm and painting nails with the other.....i can manage a book or tv remote but that's about all....

sorry, i phrased the question badly. i wasnt literally painting my nails whilst breastfeeding. i just wanted to know if nail polish was banned during breastfeeding because it could affect breast milk. also, are the fumes from the remover and polish too toxic for the baby because if they are, i will stop for the next couple of months.

ohhhh! haha, get it now. i did think you must be quite skilled!
no im sure its fine and doesnt get into breastmilk
x
