Palmer's or Bio Oil??

I've tried bio oil, and two different types of Palmers stretch mark stuff - the lotion and the cream. Like others have said, the bio oil is just too oily and takes ages to absorb. Out of the two palmers I like the lotion, it goes on nicer and isn't as thick. Both my mum and sister have BAD stretch marks so I thought I'd get loads. 32 weeks and none so far so I reckon the palmers must be pretty good! xx

I used Palmer's Cocoa Butter for Stretch Marks twice a day from conception to 24 weeks.
I have since used Bio Oil twice a day from 24 weeks onwards.

Unfortunately, I have still gotten stretch marks :(
Lots on my breasts, some on my bump, and a few on my hips.

If you're gonna get stretchies, you will get them, whatever creams/oils you use :nope:

I second that. Used both religiously daily and still got tons of stretchmarks. First ones appeared under bump, and in the past week they have spread to all over bump, hips and under boobs as well.

If you're gonna get them, there's not much you can do to prevent them

I use a few different things.. I do use palmers coco butter at least once a day in the afternoon. But I also use baby oil once i get out of the shower in the mornings and before i go to bed at night. I am 37 weeks and do have very few stretch marks but they are very small and hardly noticable. I am hoping they will go away once LO comes out.

I prefer bio oil all the way! I soak myself in the bath with it and use it morn/night. No stretchies on tum and the ones I have on boobs and bum before I used it have faded brilliantly.

I just don't feel like the lotions and creams are strong enough for my skin. Wouldn't swap my BO for the world!

I use both, usually bio oil first and finish off with palmers coco butter. I used the combined with my first daughter, went 40 weeks, 4 days and not one stretch mark!

use something that sticks around and keeps you moisturized. palmer's isn't good because it absorbs too fast & doesn't keep your skin oily. i use baby oil with vitamin E (green cap) & vaseline intense moisturizer for problem skin or something, i don't remember the exact name! & don't use bar soap in the shower because it drys out your skin! the skin on my tummy is the most amazing it's ever been :)

I've used bio oil and didn't get any until around 36/37 weeks now they're all over my lower tummy. Don't have any above belly button though(yet!). I think something like 70% of women get them and if you're pre-dispositioned to them you'll get them whatever you use.

I have stretch marks on my boobs, hips and thighs from Years ago. So I thought for sure I would be covered in them by now. Nothing as of Yet.. I used ROC mat stretch mark cream/oil for the first bit of my pregnancy. I hated how Oily it was and stained my sheets because of it.. I switched to Palmers anti stretch mark Cream and I really like it. Its only $3.99 compared to $30 for bio Oil. I know I most likely will get the Mommy trail in the next few weeks- Its bound to happen. I love the feeling of rubbing cream all over my thighs, bum, bump and boobs everyday!
