Hit me with ideas people!

We're having a leaving party in 2 days. I have had no time to prepare or even think about preparing. All my baking stuff is packed away so it will have to be something easy :/

Cocktails and nibble ideas..stat. Ta :)

Guacamole and corn chips! Small sandwiches, spanish omelette cut into little squares, spring rolls/samosas that you can just throw in the oven, crackers and brie. Oh man I want to eat all of those things right now!

Ooh spanish omelette sounds goood. I packed up all my cook books already but I'll get a recipe online. THink I may have to do a shop for lovely party stuff and crisps/dip. M&S here I come :)

Yeah deffo party food type things. Chicken bites, sausage rolls, samosas, spring rolls, breadsticks/carrot sticks and dips, sandwiches, crisps, then cake bite type things jut nibbles type bits. I'm nary now and it's bedtime!!

cheese ball/cheese plate with crackers, veggies, fruit tray

A party ain't a party without scotch eggs! Especially the little nibble ones.

Melon chunk with a bit of parma ham and a rocket leaf on a cocktail stick.

Have you any Indian food shops where you are? We have tons in leicester and a lot if the parties I've been to buy samosas and bahjis in bulk. They're quite often in 20p each, so cheap and Completly authentic!
Or you could cheat and go to sainsburys, they have frozen party food, 3 for £5 that literally needs putting on baking trays and cooking. Slice some pizzas up into small squares. Tbh whenever I do bog standard stuff like this it goes down far quicker than something I've spent time over!

Iceland do party food-Boxes of mini cake think about 75 for a £5, chicken nuggets, mini quiches etc. sainsburys you can order sandwiches( we did for LO christening they were lovely) but not sure how much notice you have to give. Good luck. Have a fab party. xxx

Thanks everybody! Used all your suggestions to make a list. Tina, same here. Its always the time I put the most effort in that that kind of stuff is always left uneaten!

Everything is going to be pre-bought although I am going to make a quick choc orange cheesecake & some cake-pop-type things. Also gotta test out these cocktails tonight. They definitely need to get a try before I make them for a lot of people! *slurp*
