Paying for LO on the bus?

Yea I think most places it's 5? Then up to 16s it's child fare.

Under-5s paying on the bus is daft  Mind you some places I've lived they charged a child fare to take a dog on  I couldn't believe it!

I thought it was under 11 for free and when you turn 11/join highschool you can apply for a free 11-15s oyster card?! A 5 year old paying for the bus is ridiculous lol! x

Yeah your not far from me if I remember rightly. Lol.

ours is 5 but my 5 and 7yr old still get on free lol (benefits of short kids!) x

Oh good.. OH said if it's four to just say she's three if they ask >< I can imagine she'd pipe up 'No I'm not I'm 4!' Haha.

I did that when I was little. My mum took me on one of the london route master buses and before we got on the bus, she said that if asked, I'm to say I'm 4.

So this random lady on the bus was being nice and making conversation with my mum and she asked me how old I was and I said in full ear shot of the conducter, "I'm 4 on the bus and I'm 5 when I get off the bus."

Everyone in earshot was apparently wetting themselves with laughter, even the conducter.

Under 5's are free in Lancashire.
