So I spoke to the doctor today who had my results back (mega quick)! I have multiple follicles on both ovaries that are less than 10mm big, suggesting that I have polycysistic ovaries I also have 1 large one on my left ovary which is 20mm. However because I do not have 2 or more symptoms of PCOS they are unsure whether I have this or not? My scan also showed a cystic area on the wall of my womb which could possibly be adenomyosis. the hospital results did not suggest that I should be referred to a specialist however as my doctor could not answer the questions that I had and she understood that I am a worrier she agreed to refer me to the fertility department at the hospital. I was just wondering if any of you could explain what the difference between PCO and PCOS is and how this effects my fertility, also does anyone else have adenomyosis? x

PCO explains what your ovaries look like when they have multiple/many cysts/follicles- pcos is the syndrome - you might have many follicles or cysts and not pcos.....

thanks hb so does that still mean its makes it harder to conceive? x

you dont have to have any follicles or cysts on ur ovaries to have pcos .............

my ovaries are fine but im waiting on my bloods as i have other signs that point towards pcos....... why not ask u doc for cd3 and cd21 bloods then they will have a clear idea from ur hormone blood tests.thats what ive had done just waiting on my report from my gyno!
