Hello,

I am still in shock, I had a BFP last week!!!!!!!!

I have had PCOS for 6 years and was prescribed metformin, I took it for 5 years but decided to come off it in July 08 as it was not helping. We have been TTC naturally for 16 months. We saw a fertility specialist back in Aug 08 - they told us it would be IMPOSSIBLE to conceive naturally and they wouldn’t put me on clomid unless I lost 2 stone. So I stated to watch what I ate and after a month id lost 1/2 stone, and then in September after almost 4 years of no periods I had a period and did so like clockwork every month afterwards. In December I decided to get some ovulation sticks for my next cycle that started on new years day - my LH surge was detected on the 18th Jan, ovulated on the 20th Jan. I had brownish discharge for 2 days on the 29/30 Jan and I got my BFP on the 2nd Feb.

I am unbelievably happy but also very scared that something will happen to take this miracle away from us.

I hope that this gives a little hope to everyone who is TTC with PCOS. Miracles do happen.

:wohoo: congratulations! ... you deserve it honey! :hugs:

congrats & lots of sticky dust!

Congrats hun! Best wishes for your pregnancy

Congratulations. I also lost weight and apparently that kick starts your ovulation/periods again. Even as little as losing 5% of your body weight will help your chances of conceiving naturally. Congratulations, Good luck and hope it's a sticky. Now come over to first tri and enjoy. xxx
