PCOS, Clomid and positive opk

Yesterday we had our first consultant appointment and results of hubby’s second SA. The SA showed a bit of an improvement, again everything else fine and morphology increased from 0% normal 3 months ago to 2% normal, so not great but not bad either.

I was given Clomid and norethisterone to start taking in a few weeks however before the appointment I took an opk and it was positive. Took a couple more yesterday and all positive.

Opk today (pic showing it on the wrapper) was a bit lighter so i am classing yesterday as my positive. We BD last night and will try for tonight and tomorrow night too.

When do you usually ovulate after a pos opk? I haven’t ovulated on my own for over 8 months so was really surprised to see the positive opk. I know we will likely still end up using the Clomid but I’m hopeful!

Any advice would be appreciated please xxxx

Let me tell you my story: I had normal 30 day cycles then went on the pill, I stopped the pill and suddenly I stopped Oing by myself as well (apparently I had post pill PCOS) I went on Clomid and started tracking my cycles with FF - I have until this day, NEVER had a positive OPK, even though the blood test showed I Od. I did get pregnant and I have a healthy 9 month old Clomid baby.

So my advice, BD when you can - it cant hurt, right? But OPKs arent the best to use with PCOS. It is better to use FF and to temp.

Thank you, yeah never really had any luck with opks before and got really fed up with them but I noticed watery cm night before last and took one on the off chance. I know I could probably still not ovulate but I am hopeful. If not then in a few weeks I’ll be taking my first cycle of Clomid. Xxxx

A lot lighter today so I think my peak was Thursday we bd Thursday night and will again tonight just in case. Xx can’t believe I may have actually ovulated on my own for the first time this year, and on the day of our fertility appointment too!! Xx
