Well after about 3 weeks of constant nausea and vomiting I have struggled finding

a - a drink that I fancied having and
b - a drink that I don't sick back up within 10 mins of drinking it

Well today I have tried Pepsi Max and have really enjoyed it :happydance: I drank about 2 litres a day before I got my bfp but went totally off it a few weeks ago.
Reluctantly I thought I would give it a go today as I was so thirsty and fed up of being sick after water and dilute pop.
It seems to have worked at quenching my thirst and I actually feel a bit more energized for it....maybe not the healthiest thing during pregnancy but if you're feeling like I have recently it may be worth a try!!

:wine:

xx

im addicted to it i went through 3 bottles at work i was only in 4hours, and before i got pregnant id have about half a boottle in all that time XD

i think its really bad for you as it had a high amount of caffine in it hence its called MAX lol i mean a couple glasses a day aint gona hurt im saying 2 litres aday isnt a good idea lol xenjoy mmm x

I love Pepsi Max! I gave it up during pregnancy b/c of the high amount of caffeine and artificial sweetener though. I miss it! I'm sure I'll sneak a few glasses here and there... ;)

I know it's not the best thing to drink but it is literally the only drink that has stayed down for ages! After weighing up the idea of dehydration or a couple of glasses of pepsi a day I had to go for the latter. I promise I won't over do it lol.

Water is definatley the way to go, but until this sickness eases I just have to get something in because being so thirsty is making me feel even worse  (I have tried lots of other drinks but all with the same outcome )

It does taste good though doesn't it Tropicana :winkwink:

xx

I'd rather throw up and suffer than drink Pepsi Max, im totally off these things for this pregnancy

Edit: before anyone thinks im being nippy, Pepsi Max has high levels of caffiene and aspartme linked to premature labour - something which i dont want to endure again!

Each to their own though

oh drink it hun. everyday they are thinking of something different that we cant eat or drink due to side effects with bubs. Think about it, years ago when our great grandma's and our grandma's were carry theirs there was no bloody risks, damn, my nan used to eat liver by the truck load for iron and have a sherry for bed to help with sleep. And millions of mums eat runny eggs, i did with prev 2 children and do ith this one.
Look at the poor people whomm cant afford quality food here and living on cheap junk food, they all seem fine too.

Eat and drink what you can and what you fancy, the way i look at it, if your craving it or it's the only thing u can keep down then baby must need the nutrients fromm it :)

Good point welshprincess!!!!

My mum used to drink a raw egg everyday when carrying me and eat liver and now they are both a big no no! Putting something in has got to better than putting nothing in after all (within reason).

I drink Pepsi Max I love it :) Caffine is not a no no at all, but it is recommended to stick to a certain amount per day, so as long as you don't glug cans of coke all day and nothing else (which is bad for you preggo or not) you'll be totally fine.

Moderation is key x x

I drink diet pepsi everyday. Dont know what the difference is between max and diet but diet pepsi seems to be the only think i can drink easily. I am still being sick, not as much as i was, but water, lemonade, and squash never want to stay down but i am fine with diet pepsi, milk and milkshakes.

I am just eating and drinking what i fancy and can stomach, within moderation which i think is the important thing in all this.

Also, i am still eating runny eggs!!

I think i would be right in saying that Diet Pepsi has a lot less caffeine, still not ideal but maybe an alternative?

ETA - i was right - its less than half the caffiene of pepsi max
