period pains, niggling sharp pains and i feel i need a poo!!

Since last nite iv been getting Sharp pains in my cha cha lol I feel the need to poo all the time and iv been getting period like pains.
Should I be worried or is this normal, this is my first so a little nieve lol

I'd phone midwife, personally I have no idea BUT that's exactly how my mum described it when she went into labour with me! Good luck xx
