My son normally has the textbook mustardy yellowy poos sometimes with seedy bits sometimes without. All day today though he has had greeny poos, one had a big clump of mucus in and the others have been runny, yellowish green with tiny darker green flecks in-literally like pesto. I was thinking it may be the weather, he has been having short, frequent feeds as it is so hot and maybe he is getting more of the watery milk than the very fatty milk at the end. I haven't eaten anything different than usual of late so I don't think it's that and being vegan I have been dairy free all along. He doesn't have any more wind than usual, he's not a windy baby anyway and otherwise he has been his usual self. The other thing it maybe could be is OH is taking him out tomorrow for a couple of hours so I have yesterday and today expressed some milk as a back up, I already had slight oversupply to begin with but my body doesn't respond well to a pump so I had to get the milk out in two sessions-do you think it could have thrown things out of whack a bit as I don't normally express? Xx

 at pesto! Very descriptive!
Unless there's a tummy bug/teeth coming through, I'd be inclined to blame the weather. Arthur's have been a bit like this lately and he's feeding little and often too.

I rarely expressed, and I can't remember it ever having an effect on DS's poo when I did, so I'd be inclined to say it's down to the weather or perhaps teething/a slight cold :flower:

Thanks. I think it may have been caused by the expressing after all as today it is completely back to normal. I experienced the same thing with a couple of my other boys too they only had this type of poo if I had been expressing milk in the past 12 hours or so. It was a waste of time anyway as he wasn't remotely hungry when OH took him out and when we tried to give him the EBM later so as not to waste it, he really wasn't impressed, he tried to latch on to the very end bit of the teat, looked really annoyed and kept coughing and spluttering even with the very slowest flow teat so I put it in a cup for my toddler instead xx

It's so annoying when you work so hard to express and then they refuse it! Least you worked out what the problem was and things have gone back to normal :flower:
