I have ordered myself a lensbaby. sooooooooooooooo excited!!

Knew you would order one Debz! :)

I have neglected my photography shamefully over the past 2 years... can't believe I am giving a photography talk at the end of September! :dohh:

Wow you ladies have taken some amazing shots!
Anna I am loving your work - I know the importance of early mornings, just cant drag myself out of bed!

I have only recently started photography as a hobby - before that it was just to take photos.

SO here is my Flickr - not much in there right now, just a few I took today of flowers from my garden

How is it? I was reading up on them a few years ago?

Nothing recent for me, but have another ASDA shoot this weekend to do. Babies and Toddlers again I think.

I've been in love with the idea since the 2.0 and always thought it looked a bit too complicated.... BUT It's fab! takes some getting used to since a lensbaby is not like anything else I've ever encountered, but overall I think it's going to go straight to the top of my "best buys" list :D

So glad you're enjoying your Lensbaby Debz! One of these days I'll give one a whirl :)

Here's one I took on my phone last night, got some more on the camera which I need to sort later :D

This thread is great, giving me some ideas! Got the perfect model now! Just a couple taken today, one original and one with photoshop, first time I have used it. Can't wait to do some more!

Yeah I like the photoshop. What are you using to take them with?

Nothing new from me, nothing I can put online anyways. Another baby even done in work, and I did some at someones house yesterday.

Amateur Photographer magazine have a lenscloth free this week. It has your rights as a photographer printed on. Very handy what with the increasing number of people being arrested/cautioned wrongly for photographing in public places.

Welcome Lisa - looked at your Flickr you have some lovely shots there :) I hope you don't mind I've added you as a contact.

Just a few images I have taken recently on a day trip to London.

They were just taken with my cheap panasonic camera...my dad is the photographer in the family, he has got losts of cameras and lenses and things. Sadly he had an accident when I was pregnant and is now in a wheelchair. He is getting very frustrated not being able to get great photos of Gaby so he is going to teach me!

hi,

i have just bought a fuji Z35 (fits in pocket as no bigger than a mobile phone) as i was getting fed up of dodgy looks from other parents in park and being asked by park wardens and such "what and who and why" i was taken photos with my big fuji s5800. at least this 1 is "parent size" and similar to most parents in park so to speak.

it really is bad when you are just trying to get some nice shots of your own kids or the birds n ducks etc. but ido understand theycant be too careful these days

Yeah it's getting a bit much now. But you can just tell them, that if there's a problem, call the police, and until then, I'll be taking pictures of my child. Of course though, doing what you did, and getting a point & shoot, makes it a whole lot easier.

Never happened to me though...

Erm, nothing new from me really, only this:

I went on a Big Cats photography day a couple of weekends ago and got some really nice shots while I was there.

I was offered a 40d the other day complete with a tamron 18- 270 lens for £400, could have kicked my self as we had just bought an iPad the day before so had to turn it down.
I have offered to buy just the lens as it would save me swapping between the 18-55 and my 80-200mm, he has some who has shown an interest so I am hoping the bloke doesn't have it, as my friend said I can have the lens for £170.
I currently have a 300d, the pictures don't seem as bright as they used to be, or it could be I'm just getting more critical.

Being dim what is a lens baby?
