Photography Club

I'm about to pop out shopping (well window shopping) am hoping to order a camera from the net tbh (cheaper).

Have any of you girls looked on ebay for shops selling cameras? Don't know what you think about buying one through ebay but there seems to be a lot on there.

Thanks for your opinions on the D40/D60. My brother suggested to stretch to the D60 if I could afford to (I didn't know the D40 was being discontinued).

Will catch up later but you girls take some lovely pics - will have to upload a couple for constructive criticism?!

I'm just desperate for a new camera (it doesn't help that the battery in my current camera ran out the other day either - I feel lost without it!!!). Struggling just to get a bloody battery - nightmare!

Anyway...back later and thanks again!

xxxxx

I don't know if anyone would be interested but i have a set of 25 or 28 filters for a 52mm lense that i want to sell.

I paid £60 plus delivery for them so ideally around £50.

Hey girls

Was flicking through some pictures I took a while ago when I spent a day with a friend. I asked if she would mind modling for me for a few pics, I ended up taking a good 70+ Photos and she loved it LOL. She played around with My D40 for the day :D, and liked it so much she later purchased one :)

So here are some of those portraits, no editing here, i just fiddled around with the light settings on manual:

Yeah fingers crossed they go well :)

im crap at thinking of things to shoot though... I mean look at my entry for the kitchen comp  I was completely stumped!

Don't forget to check ebay for velvet.... could work out cheaper!

I still haven't taken my "Cook Off" entry

I've got a couple of metres, nothing much.

I would suggest avoiding velour though - you may get a shine/pattern on it you don't want. Velvet or velveteen is more matte.

i'd been thinking a couple of m would be plenty :)

what you reckon to those ones i posted links to? I kinda like the look of the "triple velvet" one....

I like the velveteen link you posted - but think the velour link you posted would be too shiny and possibly be patterned where you ideally want a solid, matte colour.
