Carly, what do u use for the white background on the pics of maddie?

we just use a white sheet or the runners at the bottom of the beds, you no like the throw? i drap it over the back of the sofa so it gives me a large plain background

Yes - an ironed bedsheet makes a great white background. I bought a piece of black velvet from a fabric store to make a black one

Anna they are such nice pictures!! How do you blur out the background so much when your so close in cus when i try doing that the background becomes to clear?

Emma, it has to do with the aperture you use on the lens - the lower the number, the blurrier the background.... compact cameras won't give you the same effect.

aee ive seen alot of this word aperture so can u not do that on a compact?

You can change the aperture on a compact, but you won't be able to use it to blur the backgrounds like you can on a DSLR.
