Anna - fanastic picture i took a pic of a dandilion today aswell ill have to get it on! Thanks for the information about getting started on manual. Think i might have a go tomorrow if i get chance.

Kerry - Fab pictures of Courtney cant wait to see what else you do! £4! for black material. Where did you get it? Im going to get all different coloured materials aswell purple really suits Ellie so hoping to get that and green for Benn.

Thats really good. Ill have to try my market but dont kno if they sell materials. I hope so. I went out for the day with my camera snapped over 200 shots lol Ive put a few on redbubble and some on fb as you seen got loads more to put on though thought id do it tomorrow now though.

ooh im intrigued I went out and just couldnt think of ANYTHING to take photos off... maybe Im just gonna stick with portraits... dunno

I went to the park today and decided that I really should practace my macro skills (or lack of!). So here are a few that I took in the park - I've made it into a montage. I'm not good at macro shots but there are a couple there that I think are ok. Any opinions?

Morning Girls

The sun is shining so am off to thepark today with little man to see what I can get!

I have loads of photos on the other laptop taken with my old camera, but will take some today and post later on for your thoughts!

Mynxie, your macro shots are lovely....really good! Don't put yourself down hun!

Kerry - you take some lovely shots of your little one! You say you don't know what else to photograph...have you tried some macro shots of flowers (like Mynxie?) - I love doing them....they don't run away either

Just had a thought while hoovering girls I know some of you are after cheap different coloured backgrounds and this is a long shot BUT....do any of you have Ikea near you as they do coloured fleece blankets for next to nothing. I bought two baby blue ones for when little one was born for less than £2 and they're huge.

I have also previously bought black and cream ones (which are a little bit more but less than £4 if I remember rightly) and they do red ones too...can't remember what else...just a thought.

They might not be any good for photos at all but am going to give them a go until I get something better!

Sounds like they will work a treat Laurie! Just a tip: the greater the distance you can leave between your subject and the background, the less likely it is that any texture in the background will show up in your photo
