The higher the mAh number, the longer they should hold a charge Neecee. Not sure what to look for, as it's been years since I bought any.

my fuji's are 2700mAh and my spares (one lot anyway) are powerman 2700mAh - they last around the same if I'm honest so the brand doesn't make any difference between those 2.

Neecee batteries are pants! Mine runs out on me ive decided im going to buy a spare one and keep it in the camera bag so where ever i go ive got a spare. Sounds like it might be a good idea for you aswell!

Im thinking about getting a new lens aswell not sure what i want though yet so going to keep snapping and see what i think i need.

A friend of mine commented on a picture of Ellie that i took yesterday she asked if i was going professional! What a confidence boost that is! Not that im a professional in anyway. But what a compliment that she'd like me to take pictures of her lads! Ive said im no professional in anyway but ill bring my camera with me next time we have a day out together. Im abit nervous now im hoping she dont want to take up my offer cus what if i get no good shots! lol Id be rather embarrassed lol.

ah you'll be fine!

I keep asking people, family mostly if they want pictures taken. Just so that I can practice. They get a CD of the pictures (and prints at cost price if they want them) and I get to practice things.

Hey guys, I've come in here at the 127th page, so it's a bit too much to read through.

But I'm also a Photographer aswell, was mainly a Hobby, but now I work for a company doing Sports/Events.

It's pretty nice to have a £3000 Camera at your disposal!

I am THE ultimate plonker!!!! There's me thinking my batteries and charger were busted coz the LCD wouldn't turn on. So I went out this morning and spent £30 on a brand new 1hr charger + batteries only to come home and realize that the LCD wasn't turning on because I'd switched it off to use the viewfinder!:dohh::dohh::dohh:

Oh well, I needed a new charger anyway...

Hi Pricey! What camera do you use?

At least you've got a backup charger Neecee! I used to do that quite often with my Fujis  You're not the only one :)

Hi Pricey - where you based? What kind of photography do you enjoy as a hobby?

Heya, I live near Cardiff, so work is mainly in or around there, but as a Hobby, I enjoy Landscapes and Family Photos etc.

I can share some, but don't know if it suits this topic to add any.

Have you heard of Redbubble? We have a BnB group on there: https://www.redbubble.com/groups/bnb-photography-group

Does anyone know how one would go about putting on a public exhibition of photography? I've had some of my work critiqued by a few photographer friends and they reckon I should consider exhibiting and selling as art. I have absolutely no idea where I'd start with this idea, so any advice would be much appreciated. :)

Thanks!

@Neecee, I'll check it out, and I'm not sure about your question, sorry.

Hi hun, a friend of mine does these quite alot, she has fab work, il give her a message for you and forward you her reply on here xxx

Neecee, sometimes joining a local camera club is a good place to start - ours has run exhibitions on occasion. It's also a great way to meet local photographers and get feedback on stuff and see more photos :)

I also do a market stall from time to time with my fellow photographer/business partner (since getting pregnant, he tends to run the stall, but sells both our works) You need to lay out some money to begin with for the prints, mounts (and frames, if you choose to sell framed work) and to pay for the market stall pitch, but you should hopefully see a return on your money fairly quickly.

Pricey - if you join RedBubble and would like to become part of the group there, just let me know as I host it along with Tiggertea and we can invite you to it :) Would be nice to see some of your work in the thread here, too. Are you on Flickr?

What me and my husband are going to do is put up a booth at our town's local fair this fall. Do you have any soft of event where you can set up a booth to sell some prints?

@Anna, no, I'm not on flickr. I just put them on Facebook etc, but I can post some here to start with? I'll sign up when I'm at home :)
