if u know anyone who rolls their own cigarettes, nab one of their papers an stick it over the flash.... its a free and easy way to diffuse the light. so you have well lit pics without the hardness of fill-flash. :winkwink:

Wow, thanks for the tip!
My OH rolls his own so I have a free endless supply
Will def be testing that tonight

voting has commenced in the "A" challenge....

don't forget to enter "I love my.... DOLLY!"

Just wondering if any of you had some advice about noisey pictures?

I think it's a downfall of my camera (panasonic DMC-FX50) but surely it shouldn't be that bad...

Basically, if I have the flash set to 'forced off', a lot of the time the picture will take ages to capture and it'll be noisey - what setting would it be that does that? Is it the shutter speed?

If you need an eg I can upload what I mean.

Thanks :)

noise is because of the amount of light, (ie there isn't enough) change your ISO setting ;)

I'm so proud. i made a light-blocker-outer and did my first TTV shot :cloud9:
I also slightly cross processed it. went into overkill with new things yesterday
see my rb a/c and let me know what you think.... please?

Morning Everyone! :hi:

Just popped in to check you're all ok? I haven't been on the thread for ages :dohh: I just haven't had much time for the camera lately. Need some time to get snapping again!

Debbie - just had a look at your TTV shot of your LO...brill hun! And cheap way to do it too!

I have no dolls to take shots of and I didn't get the time to do the 'A' challenge :dohh: but I will get back onto the next few coming up!

Well done Anna for winning on RB! You're such a fab photographer! Looks like you'll be the winner again this week with the Beautiful Little Miss Alyssa!! :baby:

I'll read through all I've missed and catch up later on guys and girls! :D

Have a good weekend snapping everyone!

I've just joined up on redbubble and finding my way around,
Love the pic tigger, i keep taking pics of robyn, ewan and daisy the dog, they always look a bit pants though, probably cos i'm inside and the light is a bit crappy, have tried to take some out side.
I tend to use all the auto modes on the canon, and i'd like to learn about the tv and the other modes on there.
Just trying to figure out redbubble at the moment!

I have a friend who is a professional photographer and he took a group of us amateurs out on Thursday night to take some shots in London. Here's what I've come back with:

https://www.redbubble.com/people/neecee/art/3401674-2-on-time

I took loads more, but these are my favourites. I loved doing the Tower Bridge shots! My friend knew just when the tide was out so we could climb down under St.Catherine dock and get some really good shots.

i'm the same user name Hypnorm (selena Carnell) on redbubble

I have journaled about my light-blocker-outer:

probably not v. interesting, but i did it anyway!

I just had the worse experience of my life on a photography forum. So bad i've asked them to delete my profile and posts. All i did was ask a question! ARGH

Blimey you think you'd be fairly safe on a photography forum!
Rdbubble looks good... just makes all my efforts look very crappy.
Am looking for a macro lense at the moment want to be able to do close up shot of things.

it was on this photography forum and i asked what kit people take to weddings as i'm just trying to do some more prep ahead of my first solo experience in a few weeks. and they just went a little mad!

What do you use Anna? I really value your opinion
