Hello ladies

I've not been around much as have had a few personal things going on which have prevented me from picking up my camera. Went down to stay with my parents this weekend and took a trip to one of my favourite beaches in the UK, Camber Sands in East Sussex. Manged to get some great pictures - here are just a few of my favourites.

I had a bvit of a mishap with my 50mm 1.8 lens though as it fell out of my bag when I was getting my camera out and bounced off the pavement and over the promenade and stright over the edge onto the beach. Needless to say it isn't working properly now - slightly annoying seeing as I only bought it last month. Totally my own fault for being such a klutz though really

I ended up with about 25 pictures of the groynes that I absolutely love. Have played around and put different effects on them to see how it affects the end picture. Have put a couple of RB will try and stick some of the others up over the next couple of days.

Well it's a bit odd because at first it worked when I put it on, took about four pictures ok then came up with an error message. I looked up the error message on the net and apparently it's quite common and means the lens isn't communicating with the camera and is usually down to a faulty lens.

Now I can take one two or three pictures ok with it and then it comes up with the error so it isn't totally broken.

I've emailed the place I purchased it and used the old "it was working fine but now it is coming up with the error message" to see if it will be covered by the 12 month warranty. I must admit I did 'forget' to mention it had a little fall

i'm all about stepping out of my comfort zone at the moment, so thought being on the OTHER side of the lens was a good place to start
