I had a fantastic weekend as I went on a Big Cats photography day on Saturday. It was the most amazing experience - we got to get up so close to the cats - closer than you could ever imagine. The place was great too - it isn't open to the public as it more of a conservatin and breeding centre rather than a zoo or a wildlife park. All the animals were in such great condition, they are actvely getting them to breed to try and stop these beautiful animals becoming extinct in the wild.
I got to stroke a tiger and a lion and I got some amazing pictures. I've not gone through them all yet as I took hundreds but these are a few of my favourites so far.

This fellow was the most memerable part of the whole day for me. In the afternoon we had free time to go back to any animals we wanted to take more pictures of. This fellow was on his own right next to the fence. So I sat down right next to him and just quietly said hello to him and told him how beautiful he was. He then rolled over onto his back upside down and posed for me with his paws forward - he did that five or six times.
This picture was actually upside down but I've rotated it as it just looked much better. There was no zoom used on this picture - yes this is how close you actually get to the cats, an experience that I remember for a long, long time to come.
