Leo has been working real hard at learning to roll over lately. Generally speaking, I set him down on his back to play and don't do "tummy time," so it's back to front that he's been working on. For a while he was getting stuck half way, but the last few days it's been more like 75-90%. Well today, he figured out how to move his lower arm out from under him and move into the "mini pushup" position. I've had to rescue him out of it a few times, haha, but he seems to be starting to like it. I can't believe how much he moves too. Not only does he roll, but if you set him down to play, you can expect him to end up at a 90 degree angle to his starting position in addition to having shifted from his original spot. I don't remember when Violet did the same but I feel like this is earlier but who knows; I don't. With how he acts, it seems like once he intellectually gets that he can move himself, he'll be off! Some of his behavior in the first month made me think that same thing so it will be interesting to see what he does. I'm just excited to watch him learn and grow and this is an exciting step toward mobility. :-)

Share your little one's exciting accomplishments!

12 weeks tomorrow and she has rolled front to back a couple of times.

At the moment she's working on her range of noises, including a practice session at 4am yesterday morning.

15 Weeks yesterday and he has mastered rolling back to front but doesn't even attempt front to back, he is also a wriggler and will never stay in the position you've put him in, especially during tummy time and in the night!!

He is currently working on getting his foot into his mouth and making as much noise as he possibly can (especially when daddy's come off of a night shift lol)

Edit: As of today Lucas has learned how to roll front to back too

My LO is older (8.5mths) but she is a rascal! She has been crawling for almost a month and is very quick at it now. She pulls up on EVERYTHING, including the wall and cruises like a pro (she could pull up and cruise before learning to crawl.)
She can walk with a pushalong walker and has started to stand unaided for a few seconds before sitting back down (I dont think she likes not holding on to anything!)
She can clap, wave, and has started giving open mouthed kisses (sometimes!)

She is at such a fun age, but I am constantly chasing her and moving her awau from things!

My 4 month old rolls tummy to back and is so, so close to mastering back to tummy. She's also began reaching for toys and will bring them to her mouth once she finally gets a grip on one. She's laughing and smiling and talking for day and I am enjoying her immensely. <3

My just-turned-one-year-old has been toddling a few steps for a month or so now and is improving every day!

She's getting really good with instructions too. Yesterday I told her to get her duck and put him in her shopping basket, and this happened ... :cloud9:

My 9 month old is getting her balance...she's been walking unaided for about 3 weeks :) She's now steady enough to carry something as she walks.

She can wave and occasionally gives me a sloppy 'kiss' and a hug, but doesn't clap yet, she's showing no signs of that yet at all. Literally all her energy and focus has gone on getting herself fully mobile, I reckon.

I think she's starting to think about climbing...she can get up a step with a little help, but still tries to go down headfirst :dohh:, and has so far shown no interest in trying to go up the stairs.

Teddy is 4 months and sounds similar to Leo. He rolls back to front, but only if he thinks we're not looking - I always catch it on the monitor if I leave him on his playmat to use the bathroom or something. He doesn't seem too interested in front to back.

He's very chatty and very grabby, too. If he can reach it, it's his. He's getting coordinated on putting stuff in his mouth. He tries (unsuccessfully) to help guide the boob or his occasional bottles into his mouth, and he's a champion thumb sucker now.

He might be kind of thinking about teeth, too.

Ds is almost 15 weeks and rolling front to back. He's half way there with back to front - he still needs to learn how to move his arm! He rotates himself all the time. I checked dd's baby book and he is earlier than she was.
He's grabbing toys, cooing and giggling a great deal. He loves seeing himself in the mirror - something my dd was never really interested in.
He wakes up once a night, although he has slept through on a number of occasions so I know he can do it. Dd was sleeping through at this point.
(edit: I know each baby is different, it's just fun to see how they have achieved different milestones at different times).

My LO is 7 months old on Thursday and she is so much fun. She's been rolling back to front since 4 months and has recently started rolling front to back too. She pivots around on her belly and does mini push ups but doesn't like to lie down too much. She's been sitting up since about 5 months and loves sitting surrounded by toys that she can throw then lean and grab again. She's just started really babbling this week- lots of mumumumu, bububub and ohdadadadada- she's also a screamer- when she's happy as well as sad! We're doing blw and in the past week or so she's really started eating more and can strip a tomato to the skin so quickly! She loves picking up Cheerios off her tray and eats everything she's offered. We're still bfing, she feeds 3x a night still-

We got our first smile last night. Not a massive milestone, but he's only 4 weeks and 2 days old so I was super excited! Lol

Owen is almost ten months and just started crawling yesterday! He also pulled himself up and stood unaided for the first time yesterday as well! You can imagine my surprise from him going from not moving at all to being completely mobile overnight! He is trying to take steps and I am so shocked! He's been saying mamma for about two weeks now! Such a fun age!

I really think first smile is one of the absolute best milestones.

My LO has just turned 9 months and is pulling up, cruising, crawling and managed to climb up all of our stairs yesterday (with me behind her of course!). She really wants to stand unaided, but just hasn't got the balance yet.

She can clap, wave and understands "bye bye" -- she waves whenever you say it .

One difference in our boys is that Leo isn't so grabby. Violet would love for him to be as she's always wanting to put toys in his hands, but Leo's not so into it.

Leo seems to be perfecting his roll already. He doesn't struggle too much and the way he moves his legs it's like he knows exactly what needs to be done. The top half he has less skill with, but he can turn over and get his arms into the right position without too much of a struggle. It's just not as "graceful" as the back half.

DD2 is 7.5 months and has had an eventful free weeks of milestones! She learned to pull up and crawl a couple of weeks ago, and is now starting to cruise. She also learned to clap last week, wheelchair ages so excited about! She grins when anyone claps back at her, particularly her sister. She seems to understand the signs for eat, finished, milk and cat, so hopefully she'll start signing to us fairly soon!

My baby will be 3 months on Friday. She giggles in her sleep and when I fold laundry. She looks like she will be crawling soon bc she drags herself forward when she's on her tummy. She's been strong since birth. And she is teething... I can see an outline of her two bottom teeth and she's been real pissed lately! Early bloomer

Collin is 11w he smiles a lot, it's amazing. I love it most when he gets into one of his talking spurts and laughs and smiles. He has rolled from front to back in his sleep and holds his head and shoulders up when on his stomach. Pretty sure hes starting to teeth, he's been drooling a lot lately and is more moody than usual. Always grabs at my hair and glasses too!

Edit: as of today he is a pro at rolling from tummy to back!
