picky about sleepsuits in next. what would you do?

hehehe im going to go against the grain of all the nice ladies on here, but id sneakily swap them and if they sold you them then fine, you got away with it, if they say something then just say you didnt realise!

i used to do a similar thing when DD was little, she was really long and needed the next size up in pants than the tops so id pretend to be putting the 2 sizes next to each other for size and then switch the bottoms for the bigger size lol! if they sold it to me without checking (majority did) then i got to have a suit i liked for DD without having to buy 2 sets to get a perfect fit! only 4 people ever mentioned anything at the till, 3 said they were different and went and changed it for me (thinking somebody else had done it) and 1 woman just asked me if i knew it was different lol!
It always happens anyway, the broken up sets etc either get put on hangers and sold seperate, or they get sent back to the warehouse to make up other packs.

lol or some poor unsuspecting mum comes to buy the outfit for her baby and the only reallises its odd sized when she gets home... :dohh:

they lose money when they sell as seperates, and things rarely get sent back to the warehouse, unless theres a major fault.

LOL I would be pretty pissed if I was the mother to pick up the odd sized outfit that you put back. :dohh:

You should just sell the sleepsuit on it's own on ebay. Anything fron Next sells like hot cakes on there. You might find someone who REALLY liked that sleepsuit but didn't like the other two lol!

but if you bought it in odd sizes (unknowingly) then they are happy to replace it, plus i always used to put the other set back scruffily so that i knew people would check if they were buying it, i know if i were buying a pack of vests or whatever then if the packet looks a bit srcuffy or messed up that id either choose another or check them.

I used to work in a clothes shop and we used to send back anything that was a messed up set or whatever (it was an adults clothes shop tho, dont know if theyre different) we used to send it back and we would either get it back with the right sizes together or we would get a replacement so our stock levels were always fine.

tho i think the yellow is really sweet, i like the yellow 1 best lol!

I think you'd very likely get told off for swapping them as the people on the tills would probably notice. They probably sell a lot of them so recognise what is in the set.

It's a sleepsuit, baby won't mind what colour it is, you go through so many of them in the first few months that you will not be picky, we were so glad of second hand ones a friend gave us as well as those we had bought. I wouldn't feel right swapping it, would be afraid of getting caught out, and someone else could end up with the wrong one. Plus next multipacks are generally attached to each other with plastics tags as someone has pointed out.

I've been watching this this evening....

It's plain wrong! Sorry...

If your OH is that bothered about it, get him to go in and ASK if they can spilit the pack, when they say "no", then that's it end of story. If by some stroke of good luck they say "yes", great everybody is happy. I seriously doubt it though!

Also ask yourself, they are essentially £5 each (for 3), but would you spend £7.50 each (for the 2)? If so buy the set and charity shop the yellow one. x x

dont buy any of them ...... find some different ones  u wud prob be seen on camera anyways

i wouldn't break the set up personally, for me, it's just wrong! if you don't like them that much don't buy them, if not, you can always use the sleepsuit as a spare! babies get through soooo many of them!

well we went to next today and bought the car set sleepsuits in 3-6 month and the zebra sleepsuit set in newborn so we didnt swap any at all and are happy with our 6 new suits :) i talked oh out of it and he was happy to get both sets :)

Im shocked anyone would even consider doing this. How cheeky!

Im pretty sure it would be theft as youv not paid for the one your swapping for.
