Second girl due on 22/06/16 but will be earlier as will be having a planned c section

I have 2 boys, so I'm really hoping this one is a girl!!
We tried the shettles method for a girl, we'll see whether it worked or not :winkwink: Got my 20 week scan on the 8th of March, seems ages away still!!!
Can't wait to find out! I'm swaying girl this time, but I'm not sure whether that's wishful thinking or knowing that we tried to have a girl (not sure whether this theory even works, I've heard mixed outcomes).
Wish we could just fast forward a little :winkwink:

But congrats on the girl!!! :happydance:

What is the shettles method? With our boys we had sex like every day and always during ovulation. This time it was every other day. Thank you! I'm so excited!!!

The shettles method is based on a theory that male sperm swims faster but is less resilient, so doesn't live as long. Whereas girl sperm is supposed to live longer, but swims slower. So to conceive a boy you'd only BD around O, like the 2 days before, during and after O - meaning all the girl sperm will still be swimming towards the egg when it's released and the boy sperm will already be there. To conceive a girl you only BD anything from 10-4 days before O and then nothing after - meaning all the boy sperm will have died by the time the egg gets released and leaves you with only girl sperm to get the egg.

We only BD on days 8, 6 and 4 before O - I charted BBT, so I know when I ovulated. Hopefully it works, but if it doesn't then it doesn't ..... we figured we had nothing to lose, apart from it possibly taking longer to fall pregnant, but luckily that wasn't the case as this was the first month. (very lucky!)
