I received a call from the doctors office with the results of our first ultra sound! We just found out we are expecting a girl! This is our second pregnancy and the first had no complications, we were induced 2.5 weeks after our due date, but after 12 hours of labor and maxed out on pitocin I wouldn't dialate past 3 which resulted in a cesarean section.
This pregnancy has been completely different, recieving our results we have news that the placenta at 19 weeks is showing placental maturity. They did not give us much information, said they want to schedule another ultra sound in a month and told us not to worry. Which is difficult. I am reading all about it in forums where they are 32 weeks and their placenta is reaching full maturity. Which sounds like they will make it to a full 37 weeks...
But I'm only 19 weeks and reaching the end of grade 1 placenta when I should just now be entering grade 1...
Doctor is saying not to worry yet, but Everything I'm reading says 20 weeks and under with a maturing placenta should be worried...
Any information would help. Google is failing me in my situation.
