Crazy I know, but it's true.
We were meant to be tying the knot in 13 months, but we got our :bfp: last week :happydance: :cloud9:
So today we have spoken to the church and brought our date forward to 18th September 2010!!!!
Just been and bought a new engagement ring for me and my wedding band (sounds expensive, but a cheaper option than getting a custom made ring to fit my original ring).
Our florist is available on the date and so we've put our final order in with them.
I've booked my time off work.
Just need to tell our extended families now.
One really nice thing about bringing the day forward is that my DF's Grandad is terminally ill and hopefully he will be able to make our wedding now.

Anyone else planning a wedding in record time?
Please tell me I'm not the only crazy woman here!!! :haha:

I'm sure Amy (x-amy-x) planned hers in 8 weeks or something like that but I also think there was someone else who did it in 4 weeks but don't quote me on that one! So it's certainly do-able.

If we had the money we could have done ours in 10 weeks but we needed a year to save the money  xx

My brother and SIL did theirs in 6 weeks

but yes, I think you are mad :haha: but so nice that your OH's grandad should be able to be there :flower: xx

Well I may be crazy, but I'm happy. I can't wait.
We have not got as much money as we hoped to have, but I'd marry Andy in a bin bag in the park across the road if that's what it took!!!
We've had to make some cuts, but only on the superficial stuff.
I'm so excited. We will be a real life family!

Oops,i dont mean you are mad for rushing it. But I wouldnt be able to handle the stress of planning everything in such short amount of time!! Lol

Have you told all the family yet? x

I would love to plan a quick wedding. I already know exactly what I want so having to wait 20 months to do it is really frustrating me xx

I did mine in a week lol.

we lived in scotland but were getting married in grimsby, lincolnshire and we were only in grimsby for 1 week before the wedding to do everything.

at least it gives you less time to stress about everything!

We did ours is 7 weeks, means there's no time for changing your mind and for being hesitant on things. Good luck xx

best of luck hun and sorry about your OH's grandfather, i hope all works out sadly me and my OH have put our wedding off for few years so we can get money etc together, 12weeks wow sure you'll make it in time best of luck again can't wait to see pictures :D

I've done mine in 6 weeks - but its very low key and easy!!

Well, told most of my friends and family about the wedding. Been spending today and got my prettys for the big day! Necklace and earings, tiara and shoes. All for £100. There are some real bargins to be had. Got to love the internet.
Also ordered our cake today, got photographer coming to meet us on Thursday, H2B going with his BM t try on suits on Saturday, been to see our Rev. about order of services and rehearsals and my bridesmaid dresses came today and are the PERFECT colour.
It's all coming together....looks like I'm getting married!
Thanks for all of your comments. I can't see that there is that much to panic about at this stage. I've never wanted a princess dress and a horse and carriage. Just a beautiful day with my friends and family and my best friend in the world.
xx
