Since we are not currently pregnant -- And our hearts are not yet set on a name.... I wont be offended to receive negative feedback! Besides, i would never post on a public baby name thread asking for opinions... if i didn't really want your true opinions! :dohh:

So please be brutally honest ---

I love the name Emersyn -- and it seems OH is starting to like this name too! In fact, the other day OH referred to our future baby as "Emmy"!!!!!! :happydance:

We like Emersyn Sophia Rose (nn. "Emmy Rose")

However, i saw someone else on a different site say she is going to name her daughter Emersyn... & she got extremely rude, mean, negative responses! I was shocked! I can't believe so many people said they hate the name! Alot of people also said it's a masculine, boy's name! Doesn't seem masculine to me, especially since names like Madison/Madisyn, Addison/Addisyn, Allyson/Allisyn are popular girl names!!!!!!!

What are your honest thoughts & opinions of this name???

Emersyn could work for a girl's name :) Like you said, there's a lot of similar names like madison, addison, etccc.. I think if it was Emerson without the Sophia Rose, at first it may sound like a boy's name.. but I think it still works fora girl! Quite original.. :) I was thinking of Sophia for my girl's name (if I have a girl) but spelled Sofia.. :D

I admit I thought it was for a boy until I saw the giant pink full name. I'm not a fan of it at all, but I do like Sophia.

I have not heard if for either a boy or girl name but would lean towards girl on first thought.
I only know it as Emmerson/Emerson the surname but think you could shorten it nicely for a girl not a boy - as Em - Emmy - Em's are all feminine nicknames. If a boy not sure 'E'
I like it alot - voted love - not quite love but more than ok:flower:

It strikes me as a boy name, I don't hate it, but it reminds me of a strange soap opera I watched a few times called 'Emerson Drive'.

It's a boys name? Emmerson....sorry not a girls name to me.

i like it but have grown fond of the spelling EMASYN/EMMASYN but OH's violent bitch of an ex is called emma so anything beginning with EM he doesnt like lol. xx

Emersyn is ok ... I would say it's a girls name but definitely on the masculine side! That aside, Emmy is such an adorable nickname! Absolutely love the middle names 'Sophia Rose' too .. So pretty, love it! :flower:

I really like it although i would spell it Emmason or Emmerson

Its really pretty, a little bit masculine but i like that. But Emmy is a really girly nickname!

If you like it go for it! gl x

Agreeing with the Emerson spelling. It's a unisex name, Emmy is lovely for a nn...

i knew a guy in school with that name so i see it as a boys name. but since ure not yet pregnant yet u may be able to use it for either

I like it as a boys name, but not a girls name. I like the name Emmy though, but I would go for something more like Emmalyn.

Personally I hate the spelling, but I dislike all names with so called 'creative spellings' because the name ends up looking made up and common.
