Ladies please help I'm at my wits end, I can't handle my LO screaming the way she is.
LO was BF till 3 weeks then my milk went :( the next week we had her on aptamil 1 but it made her not poo for 3 days so we were advised to switch to comfort. We've been in comfort for a week now and she still only poos every 2 days and only if we give her diluted fresh fruit juice.

The problem is.... LO is now 5 weeks old and has been taking 5oz and going 4 hours between feeds but the last 2 days she is just not satisfied at this.... She takes her 5oz and settles and then 90mins later is screaming the house down for another 5oz.
I need advise in which stage 2 milk wiuld be best as she obv needs the heavier milk but I need to know which is most easily digested?

Thanks in advance, a very stressed mummy :'(

Sorry, so how old is she? 5/6 weeks?

At this age you should really be feeding on demand, going 4 hours inbetween feeds is quite some time for a newborn, and that switching to a hungrier baby formula isnt the immediate fix for that part of the problem. I would suggest feeding on demand first and upping the ounces if needs be.

I mean of course if she is feeding 6,7,8oz every hour, then yes, perhaps look at it, but just try letting her guide you for a while because she is so young.

As for the constipation, there isnt much you can do aside from switching to another brand, but then you could end up with the same problem.

Exactly what i would of said

My lo was terribly constipated on powder formula, my hv said a small carton of ready made a day would help, it didn't, I switched to ready made every feed and the constipation went.
