Hey girls. Hope you're all ok!

Ok, I had a consultant appointment today and the plan is to possibly have a c-section at 37 weeks.. and 39 weeks at the latest. And we've still not decided on a name!

We have two names we love... which way round do you think they should go?

Emily Elisabeth

or

Elisabeth Emily?

If we called her Elisabeth we'd shorten it to Beth (not a fan of Lizzy!). And we're using the 's' as its the biblical version and after DH's gran (who sadly passed away on our wedding day)
The only thing that puts me off slightly is that we know someone who has a little girl called Beth already (although Beth is her full name, its not shortened from anything). But Emily is very popular at the moment.

What do you lovely ladies think? Any insight is welcome! :flower:

Ah, and I've just realised I've moved into the last box! Eek!

I think Emily Elisabeth is the better, but I agree that Emily is very popular, so you could maybe change the spelling to Emilie Elisabeth or something to make it a bit different :) xxx Not long left, good luck :)

I love the name Beth, but I think Emily Elisabeth flows better. Though maybe that's from watching too much Clifford as a child.

i like Emily Elisabeth and also agree with Gem 27 on the spelling i think the way Gem 27 has spelt it makes it different and alot less common i really do like it like that..Good luck xxx

I really like the name Emily Elisabeth as well. It just flows better.

Thanks girls. I did think about spelling it differently and I really like it with the 'ie'... but since Elisabeth is spelled differently too plus we have a surname that we constantly have to spell out, I decided against it. Poor kid would have all three names spelled wrong constantly!

I really love the name Beth so i'm going to say Elisabeth Emily, i think it goes together.

x

Hmmm... i like the sound of Emily Elisabeth better i think... But both sound nice!

But personally i think Emily is a much prettier name than Beth...

As far as nicknames for Elisabeth i prefer: Elisa or Lissie or Libby

I don't think Emily is as popular as it used to be -- But do you like any alternatives:

Amelie
Emma (probably just as popular as Emily tho)
Emmalyn
Emerson
Emmy

If we call her Emily then we'd shorten it to Emmy for everyday use.
Thanks for your opinions guys. I'll see what DH says!

Just saw the name Emiliana, thought it was cute!.

Emiliana Elisabeth.....so cute!!

x
