Plus sized in the second trimester!

Omg!! Sorry I didn't update! Kyra Ann was born at 6:47pm on April 10th weighing in at 7lbs 3oz and 19 1/2 in long. We came home on Sunday (the 12th) and it has been a busy week getting used to having a 3 year old and a newborn! Kinley is adjusting great to being a big sister and is such a little helper! Poor Kyra (or I should say poor us lol) has her days and nights completely turned around :p but we are all doing good!:)

Happy 39 weeks mod! Any new news? How are things going?

Omg Mcwhmm!! CONGRATULATIONS!! That is such amazing news! So happy you are home and settling in!! I'll be checking back in to see everyone else's progress!! :happydance:

That's progress mod!! I hear you on the work thing! I never want to go back! Lol it's almost 4 pm here and I haven't even gotten out of my pajamas today or gotten either kid dressed! Lol it's amazing :p let us know how tomorrow goes!!

Bselck- thanks!! How are things going with you?

Dini has been mia as well... Wonder if she had her little man

Well Wednesdays appt proved I am still at 1/2cm and not progressing. I have another appt for this coming Wednesday and an induction penciled in for May 1st. Well, I will be going in the 1st to get prepped with the actual I diction happening on the 2nd. I'm so ready to be done with work it's not funny.

Dini did you have your little man yet?

Mod- at least there's an end in sight!;) that's so great though that after your low fluid and all that baby girl is going to be full term! And May 1st is only a week away!:)

I don't want to step on any toes and speak for dini, but she has been posting occasionally on Facebook and she had her little man and he is still in the hospital due to having seizures. From her last post, he seems to be doing better and is off oxygen and may be going home soon.

Bselck- are they still thinking may for Zackary to go home?

Aww poor guy. I hope she's holding up ok!

Hey guys!! So today is the day that I get to "room in" and stay overnight at the hospital with Zackary!! They do this to make sure I am comfortable giving his medicines and monitoring him with oxygen. This means that if all is well, he gets to come home tomorrow!! I can't believe it! It will not be real until i have him in our house!!

Zack recently had his hernia surgery last Wednesday and that went well and then he may need to have an eye surgery due to his prematurity. So tomorrow he has one more eye check up to see if he needs the surgery and if he does then hen as to stay a few more days but can come straight home after that! So either way I'm one happy momma!

Zackary is a miracle but it is even more amazing that he gets to come home BEFORE his due date! The doctors said for a 23 weeker that nearly never happens!

Here is a picture of Zackary in his car seat test :). He also had his first RSV preventative shot today, hearing test, final bloodwork check, and final MRI check so needless to say he is worn out!!

He is eating over 2 oz every 3 hours now and is on formula as my milk dried up :(. But that's ok because he got he most important breast milk for the first 92 days of his life!

Love all of you and can't wait to hear more updates!

Bsleck that's such exciting news! You must be absolutely thrilled to finally be able to bring him home! How much does he weigh now? I can't believe the progress he's made in so he a short amount of time.

Well I had my little girl on Saturday. My water broke while we were bowling on the 24th shortly before midnight. Went home, showered, got our stuff and headed to the hospital. They gave me till 6am for labor to start on its own, which it didn't, so I got an epideral and they started pitocin. I was hardly dialating at all, and was only at an 8 by 8pm, by which time I had an infection and a fever from my water being broken so long and in turn had her heart rate stuck in the 180s. So at 8pm the Dr's decided to do a c section, and she was born at 8:48pm weighing in at 6lbs 12oz and 19 3/4" long. She's perfect in every way, and I'm absolutely in love. Spitting image of her daddy but so darn cute! But like mcwhmm, she has her days/nights mixed up, and won't let anyone put her down throughout the night. So I'm up for the 3rd day in a row without sleep because she has to be in her crib here of we sleep, but if I put her down she screams. I love her and she's worth it, but I'm about to pass out,!

Bselck, That's amazing news!! How'd things go with the room in!? Any news on his eye surgery? He looks so much bigger, yet still so tiny in his car seat! How much does he weigh now? I'm sure you cannot wait to be home! That will be so surreal! He truly is a little fighter/miracle!

Mod! Congrats!! I was going to ask you how your appointment went tomorrow, but you won't be having that now! Lol. Sounds like you had quite a long, hard labor :/ I would love to see pictures! :) Ah, yes, the hospital rules! The second night that I was in the hospital, I actually slept with her in the recliner after they did mine and her final nightly check. I understand their concerns though. However, once getting home.. you gotta do what you gotta do to get some rest and stay sane! Lol Kyra is getting a little bit better, but she wakes up around 11pm and is awake until about 130am before settling down and sleeping again for the night and she usually only wakes up 1 time during the night after that. DH and I usually just stay awake until that time because it's our "alone time" together :) Thankfully Kinley sleeps in in the mornings so we don't get up and around until 11ish in the morning. Today it's 6pm and we are all still in pajamas, although we are going to get dressed and go outside in a bit. Gotta love maternity leave! :)

Just realized that I never posted a picture of Kyra on here! So, here's one :)

Since this started out as a "weight" thread.. How are you ladies doing on weight?? I was terrible this pregnancy and gained 66 pounds!! I started out at 180 and the day I gave birth, I was 246. I'm now down to 210. (-36 pounds) I am waiting until after my 6 week check to start exercising and honestly, I can't even imagine having energy to do more than our nightly walk right now! Lol I've been sort of watching what I eat, but nothing extreme. My first goal when I do start, is to get to 199 (or below 200 pounds again. Then, I would like to get back to 160 (my lowest weight since High School)

Also, How are all the babies doing! :)

Also, How are all the babies doing! :)

Ok so remember I had the gastric sleeve surgery last year so my pregnancy weight gain was abnormal (I actually kept losing weight) so when I found out I was pregnant I weighed 209. I gave birth weighing 175 and after birth weighed 165. And even though my 6 week check to where I could start exercising was back in February- I stayed at 165 for 4 months!! I was working out but I feel like my body was in shock and wouldn't budge!

Now that Zackary is home, I am back in sleep deprivation mode and am down to 158!! Just happy to be out of the 160's!! So don't compare my pregnancy weight journey to your as I have a surgery advantage- but I just wanted to say I will be here with you as we all try to lose the weight! And I have definitely had my stalls!!

Otherwise Zackary is doing great! Eating like a champ! 2-3 oz every 3 hours or so and is now 7lbs 4oz! He did have that laser eye surgery a couple of weeks ago and so far it doesn't seem to be helping :(. I'm hoping we didn't putnhim through that for nothing!! I think he needs more time to show progress but his eye specialist says we need to go to Denver where they give shots into his eyes to try to help them! Ahh so scary and I REALLY don't want to have hi sedated again!

So we will see but I will always do what's best for him- so that appointment is on Monday and I will keep you guys updated!!

How are you MCwhmm??

Here are a few recent pics of Zackary...

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you weigh when you got surgery? I was at 160-165 when I got pregnant in March 2014 and then when I miscarried I became depressed and ate for comfort. By July when we conceived again, I was 180. Even though I've lost 36 pounds since having Kyra, it sure doesn't feel like it! And it still puts me at my highest weight ever. I eat healthy and walk everyday and haven't seen the number on the scale budge in the last 2 weeks! I was going to sign up for kickboxing after my 6 week check, but I don't think I can manage that right now! With slee schedules and my joints are still sore from all of my swelling. I think I'll just start a light work out routine after my 6 week check.

Sounds like Zackary is doing great! I'm sure it's amazing having him home! Hoeduly the surgery did help! I've never understood how they test babies vision or hearing. Awh! He's adorable! He weighs the same as Kyra right now!

Oh Mcwhmm you have to be wayyy overweight for then urgency so I weighed 258 when I got the surgery and just recently hit my 100 lb weight loss mark!

I totally understand about the emotional eating that comes along with miscarriage.

And don't worry your prego weight will comes off!! Start light with your exercise (I started jogging which turned to running which turned to longer runs) and I also do elliptical everyday. I do weights 3x a week but ill be honest- for the past 2 weeks since Zackary has been home- my workout routine has been down the drain!

I have to get back into it and in old love to try a kick boxing class too! Just have of figure out a new schedule.

You look great!! What is your goal weight? I would love to lose 10 more pounds but we'll see!

I just got put on the IUD birth control Mirena- lasts for 5 years or you can take it out when you're ready to try again- but that was put in a few days ago and I'm so crampy and bloated!! Are u doing any birth control options?

Talk To you soon!

Since I wrote that last post, I have actually lost about another 3 pounds, putting me at 206-207. I have still just been doing walking. Tonight I was just playing around and did some squats, push ups, and sit ups with my 3 year old.. She loved it Lol, may have to make it a night time routine! My real goal is to at least get back down to 165. However, saying that I still have that much weight to lose scares me, so I break it down into little goals. So, my first goal is to get below 200 (whatever weight that may be). Then, my second goal is to get to 180. Then from there 165. Ultimately, I would like to get to 150.

I currently am on the pill. I tried Mirena a few years ago and it made my migraines go crazy! I've always had issues with migraines and I have found that different birth controls/hormones make them worse. I wish I could be on that though!

I've had issues with camping and bloating recently too. I bled for about 2 1/2 weeks after having Kyra and then it stopped for a week completely and then ever since, I've been bleeding again. Last week it was VERY heavy and now it's just spotting again. I'm now 6 weeks postpartum and I just want it to stop! Lol, bleeding is so annoying :p Also, Sunday is my last day of my BC pack and so then I will probably get my period (maybe). Hopefully after that I can get a full month without bleeding :p
