Plz help me. What is this. pictures. Update: back from the doctors

:hugs:

Sorry if this has been said but I've not read the whole post.

Can you call your out of hours doctor? They might be able to do a home visit?

I'm no medical expert but the armpit could be infected due to dribble/sick/moisture getting trapped there?

My LO gets what we call 'cheesy armpits' and sometimes gets red

Hope your baby gets better and just ignor the nasty commets, some people just don't know when to keep their mouth shut
xx

Hope she's ok.

I dunno what it's like where you are but here we have a 24 hours walk in clinic at the hospital. Kinda like a step before A&E where you can go for things when you can't get into a normal GP. That's handy for these things. They never make you feel silly for ging even if you're panicking over nothing (Like I do... a lot lol)

Hugs to your LO xx

Thanks. i wish we had something like that here but unfortunately we dont. The health nurse told me unless she gets a fever she should be fine to wait until her appointment in the morning,

Thanks. I called the health nurse and was told as long as she is happy and does not have a fever she is fine to wait for her appointment tomorrow morning.

Hi, my LO had a lump under his armpit not as bad as that tho and was not weaping but i had noticed it when it pretty much first started...wasnt there in his bath before bed then was on the morning...took him to the docs straight away and he said that all of the babies glands that help them fight infections are under there arms so sometimes if they are trying to fight off a cold or something they get a bit swollen and red with out having the actual symptoms of a cold. Maybe its just something like that but if you havent noticed it for a while its gots worse....i just kept clean and dry and soon went....as i say it was not as bad as that but hope this helps a bit.

If she is fine in herself then wait until tomorrow id say x

Thanks. DHand I both have a cold so maybe thats it.

I haven't read all 7 pages of this so Im sorry if I'm repeating what someone else has said, but my daughter gets red raw armpits like in your picture if she hasn't been dried properly after a bath. The white pussey stuff is just like a yeasty thing that like to grow in dark damp places. Keep it clean and dry and if it's particularly bad a bit of sudocrem will help. Good luck with your doctors appointment tommorw, let us know how you get on.

Hi

I've no advice for you but just want to wish your little one a speedy recovery and :hugs:

Sorry, I haven't read all of this so may be repeating what others have said but my initial thought was that the chest rash looks like excema. Not sure about the armpit though, that looks quite nasty. I really hope you get it sorted tomorrow. Good luck. x

I'm in Ontario, we have telehealth Ontario.....does Alberta have something similar? Is that the nurse you called? I have always found them to be accurate, thorough and helpful. Hope everything turns out at the docs tomorrow.....I'm sure its something easily looked after. :flower:

Yeah thats pretty much the same thing we have here but its called health link alberta. I can call 24/7 and talked to a registered nurse. So far they have always been quite right and they are always lovely to talk to.

you'll have to let us know what the doctor says it is, it looks really sore but as she was happy and smiley it probably looks worse than it feels. I hope she gets better soon :hugs:

:hugs: poor thing! I hope you get things sorted 2moro =) ps. Your avatar is sooo cute! :hugs:

aww bless her :-( her chest does defo look like eczma or drool rash although not sure about the drool with it being that far down :/ if she is drooling alot i always found putting a thin coat of vaseline below my LOs chin a massive help as it is water resistant so any drool cant soak through the vaseline onto the skin. as for the armpit only thing i could think of that would make a sore is perhaps not drying it enough after a bath but i wouldnt have thought that would have made it that bad. i hope shes not in pain with it it looks quite nasty :-( if it is weeping and you have some savalon cream you could put a bit of that on it because its an anti septic so might help stop the weeping incase its a tad bit infected. hope you get somthing sorted tomorrow xxx

Hi

not read all the postings but my second eldest had severe eczema and it certainly looks like it, the armpit does as well but possibly infected, my poor boy used to always get that in nearly every crease on his body, with him it wasn't an infection but just his skin was very sensitive and rubbed easily. I was recommended a cream called conotrane and it worked wonders.

Aww poor sausage. Hope you get something to help tomorrow x

I'm going to be a first time mom as well and no matter how much I trust the ladies on here, my first instinct will always be a doctor, especially if it's been occurring for 3 weeks. Sorry if it came off mean, but it's what went through my head and I'm an honest person.

Haha, your lo isnt even here yet and you are already passing judgement on the way others are mothering?? I dont think there is anything wrong with op asking here first to see if anyone might know what it is. I do think that you are rude and mean though. Just wait till someone starts judging your parenting choices...I hope that when it happens you look back on this and realize how rude your comment was. Maybe you should come back and apologize when it happens :smug:.

I'm sorry, I got so frustrated by the rude comment I forgot to say that I hope your lo's rash gets better. I used to babysit for a family years ago that had to put antifungal cream in lo's creases because they would get like the armpit pic. xx
