Plz help me. What is this. pictures. Update: back from the doctors

I'm sorry, I got so frustrated by the rude comment I forgot to say that I hope your lo's rash gets better. I used to babysit for a family years ago that had to put antifungal cream in lo's creases because they would get like the armpit pic. xx

Lol that's ok. Thanks for the kind thoughts.

It does look like eczema. The one under her arm is like that because of the friction and the heat. And cause its moist all the time. Put a gauze with antibiotic small amount under it and put her onesie on. It should kinda stay. Dont put any medical tape on it cause her skin is super sensitive now. Just make sure its dry for the time being.
Her chest can be controlled with a good "free" lotion or anything with oatmeal in it.
GL!
And F those that are talking junk.

some of the people in this thread should be ashamed of themselves. i would like to think i could come on here and ask for advice while waiting to see the doctor without being shit on, but now...

OP, good luck with your LO tomorrow, poor girl. sorry i have no advice :hugs:

Doctor! GO!

I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be mean, but why was your first instinct to post pictures on a forum site, especially with weeping pus under her arm?

Its people like you who keep A&E wards full of babies who don't need to be there at cost of sick babies receiving less care! Unless its a non-blanching rash then it can wait until an appointment, how incredibly rude of you.

So we have just got home from the doctors. Boy are the roads bad lol. Anyways by this morning the rash under her armpit had disappeared. The doctor said it was probably just too much moisture under it. The other rash though she said looks like eczema and she thinks it is caused by a cows milk allergy. We now have to give her a hypoallergenic formula that is only available by prescription called Enfamil Nutramigen A+.
We also got a steroid free cream to help with the itching. She also found a small heart murmur but said it was common and she would check again in a month and if it was still there she would send up to a Cardiologist but she figures it will be gone by then.

On a positive note she will be 17 weeks old Wednesday and is 14lb 10oz in the 86th percentile for weight and 24.5 inches in the 77th percentile for height. Thank you allfor all the kind words, thoughts and support.

OP, one of my llittle ones had this. It was caused from me not drying under his arm properly. From then on I've used a tiny spot of talc under the arms and in the creases to make sure they are totally dry. Its not happened since :). I know talc is not recommended too much these days but this is exactly what its there to prevent, hope the Dr's went well.

Thanks for the update hun, glad the armpit sore has cleared up and you have some answers now!! I hope the heart murmur turns out to be ok xx

Just seen your update lol, glad everything went well. Meant to add, if anyone else notices this on their baby it helps to lift babies arm up above their head to let the air get to it whilst they sleep, clears it up very quickly.

Glad it's looking better!

I agree with the above poster who said to keep the sore underarm as dry as possible. I would get some mild unperfumed baby powder, put some on a cotton wool ball and dab at it gently.

Thats great news about the issue under the armpit, really please for you it cleared up overnight. My LO was put on Nutramigen due to the rash she got after being on cow and gate (I mentioned it in my earlier post yday evening) and it cleared the rash up within a couple of days, I hope it works as well for your LO.
We also got giving some cream, called doublebase and some bath emollient (sp?)
Sorry to hear about the heart mumor but if the GP is happy it will be gone then all is good.
PS : If you haven't already started on that formula it stinks and tastes even worse so might take LO time to adjust xx

We havent started yet. she wants us to wean her on to it by mixing her bottles half and half with the old formula.

I'm glad to read your update OP, and hope your Lo is back to full health very soon. Try not to worry about the heart murmum as it's likely to be nothing to worry about.

thats a good plan, I read on the formula section when I was given the Nutramigen that was a good way to do it as it has a seriously unusual taste..

Glad it's sorted for you :hugs: My LO gets eczema like the rash on your LO's chest on his face and the backs of his knees. I keep them well moisturised (I use Diprobase, it's great!) and this is usually fine on a day to day basis and I also have a steroid cream for bad flare ups but don't have to use it very often. I also find he is sensitive to too much acidic food (like tomatoes) and some types of washing powder, so it might be worth experimenting with washing powders too if the milk doesn't get rid of it completely. Good luck!!!

Ahh hum glad it isn't anything too nasty. Sorry to hear about the heart murmour, hopefully it will go.
Hope ur LO is better soon xx
