Poorly 10 month Old Advice Please!! UPDATE PAGE 2

Hi. He is doing really well. Very emotional at times and not sleeping day or night at the moment. I was brave and tried him with some solid food today and he really enjoyed it. Im terrified of him being Sick. Everytime I change his nappy im worried that there might be blood in it. I have been feeling really down today that he went through all that pain. Just so pleased too have him home. X

I'm not surprised you feel a bit down, its a normal reaction now its all over. I am glad he liked his food. He won't remember a thing, especially when he is a 100% better, its different for you though, there is no suffering like that of a mum :hugs:

How is your little man doing? (And how are you?) :flower:

Hi thank you for asking. He is doing well but seems to really suffer with Wind at night time. He was a bad sleeper anyway but now he is sometimes awake every hour. Feel so bad for him as he doesnt want to be awake. We did end up in our Local Hospital over the bank holiday weekend as he started vomiting and having tummy cramps. I was so worried so took him to A&E. They were just as useless but kept us in overnight until they could perform an ultrasound. We phoned St Thomas and they said we did the right thing taking him in but it was highly unlikely it would re occur. The ultrasound showed a lot of gas in his tummy which explained the tummy cramps. Xx

Glad he's doing well. It's hard to relax after going through something like that

By coincidence my baby ended up in St Thomas' s on 26th August for emergency surgery on her bowel as well (malrotation). She's doing fine but I panic when she spits up or goes a while without a poo.

Poor little man! I would have gone to A&E too. I hope he keeps improving, and hope the sleep situations gets better, too. :flower:

Oh bless her. How is she doing? Its so Scary isnt it. xx

Yeah, she's doing really well thanks. She was only 2 days old and was transferred the very suddenly but she recovered very quickly and came home 8 days later.

I thought the care at St Thomas' s was brilliant.
